So...me being a fan of rap music, I personally think that profiles based on songs with a story and sequence of events should be allowed.

A popular example is Sta , Children's Story, and William from Dance With The Devil; three examples where the rapper is a narrator telling the story of someone else.

Then there are songs like DMX's Damien series where it comes from the perspective of the narrator, either still named as the artist or named as an alter ego of the artist like Devil's Son/Big L in Big L's Devil's So, or Desert Eagle in Nas's I Gave You Power or possibly even Slim Shady in "My Name Is" because Slim has a clearly fictional backstory and characteristics which he describes in the song.

Most of these are just easy examples I've noticed...but I wouldn't suggest an actual profile to be made for any of them aside from Devil's Son, Slim Shady, and Desert Eagle since the others would just be base humans with weapons.

All in all, I think profiles based on music which tells a fictional story should be allowed, same as any other piece of fictional literature. I honestly don't see why they shouldn't be allowed. This is something I could easily identify as a rap fan, I don't know if there is any other genres of music this could apply to.

I already read through the music video persona thread....this isn't the same...What do you guys think?

I agree. Fictional stories about fictional characters that aren't just someone's persona deserve profiles, if they're interesting enough.

I mean does wierd al have actual lore? SPG and the Gorillaz are allowed because they're not just bands, they have set characters and actual lore.

If our cartoon profiles are anything to go by, having story doesn't matter
