A rule about waiting for the season to finish before making profiles and/or revisions.

Was granted permission by Colonel to comment here.

In general, I like that this thread was made and agree with the conclusions, particularly with AKM's.

I wanted to ask some questions that may be relevant to the writing of the rules:
  • What about episodic media that new episodes take a long time (Something like months) to be released? There are some original YT series that are divided in seasons and episodes, but new episodes always take one or two months to be released at a time. Should the season be waited out?
  • About books: Should new CRTs be made for each new book? I'm not talking about small-ish book series, something like three to seven books. I'm talking about multi-book, massive franchises such as Warhammer 40k, that have hundreds of books and often many series of books covering different acts at a time.
  • In fact, just in general, would a CRT for each book be acceptable? (This is a somewhat unimportant question, but I wanna ask as I plan to revise a book series that's already finished, but the books are massive individually-)
  • And, lastly, what to do about a massive series that's already finished/published, but with such a massive amount of material that it would be unrealistic (Or at least too time-consuming/difficult) to do a CRT covering it entirely in one go? If I had to give an example, I'd personally say my experience revising the Tex series, which I plan to do CRT's every ~50 issues covered at least.

Just speaking for my own opinion but I don't think that book series would fall under the "Seasons" rule. Otherwise we'd never have another ASOIAF CRT if we're waiting for that to finish.

Just waiting for an individual book to be completed and released should be enough time to wait. (As in, don't make a CRT if all we have are previews are not the finished book)

Yeah, that's what I guessed.

I'm more worried about the massive franchises like 40k, that often have 3 to 4 book series being published at a time.
