9-B Tournament - Two Worlds Collide Match 2: Tsukasa Shishio vs Finn Bálor

But isn't it easier for Tsukasa to hit Finn with the sword than for Finn to do the 1916 on Tsukasa? Tsukasa has the range advantage with swords, and Finn would first have to focus on disarming Tsukasa, so that he could get closer to do the 1916.
Technically yes, but Finn is more than skilled enough to hit that move.

It’s easier for Tsukasa to avoid the 1916 while he has his sword, but Finn is slippery enough he can take that out of the equation for when he needs to finish things up

So then Tsukasa has the advantage, since Finn has to disarm Tsukasa first, or else he can't use his finisher.
This is true but Finn has the skill and specialised fighting style to overcome this issue, and when we get man-to-man Finn comes out a clear enough winner

Hot Take: Jericho at the time of Jericho vs Tsukasa is NOT as skilled as Bálor
Thinking about it now, I actually agree with this.

I mean, everyone came to an agreement that the Jericho at that time was more skilled than Tsukasa.

However, ever since that matchup concluded, we found a few more skill feats that Finn without a doubt scales to that wasn't mentioned in Jericho vs Tsukasa thread.

Keep in mind that Jericho holds a solid skill advantage over Finn, and the Jericho that faced Tsukasa had the skill advantage.

So yeah, Finn without a doubt holds the skill advantage here.

But with his range advantage Tsukasa should be skilled enough to get a few hits in, or at least one, before Finn could disarm him, which depending on how serious the wound is, could give Tsukasa an advantage later in hand to hand combat.

I would like to say that Finn holds a very good versatility advantage.

He has way more moves to dish out than Tsukasa (correct me if I'm wrong, Dr. Stone supporters).

I can show you proof if you guys want.

That is possible, but it’s also possible Finn dances around Tsukasa for a bit and hits him with a slingblade to disarm him. I think we’ll just have to agree to disagree on the likelihood of Tsukasa getting a stab in, it’s a very subjective matter

Want to agree on inconclusive? Tsukasa could possibly hit Finn before Finn could disarm him, and maybe Tsukasa could win later in hand to hand combat if Finn's injury from the sword is critical enough, and Finn could also possibly win if he can disarm Tsukasa without getting hit.

I'll gladly settle on Inconclusive.

Tsukasa can take down Finn with only a few shots with his sword. Disarming him is also going to be no walk in the park for Finn.

On the other hand, Finn holds a skill and versatility advantage. His slipperiness will also make him somewhat hard to hit. Finn can disarm Tsukasa and hit him with the 1916.

Incon FRA
