Match Rules:​

• Speed is equalized
• All optional equipment is allowed that is up to 9-A
• Takes place in the center of Gevena at Sunrise
• 70 meters starting distance
• No Prep nor Prior Knowledge
• The city is abandoned for these matches so no outside help
• BFR, Death Manip, and other passive One-Shot Hax have been mostly banned

I also don't know what Papyrus usually does but he does use Bone magic with his blue soul attacks

He doesn't seem to have any counter to them, tho i doubt Papy would lead with those, especially since in fights where he takes a part in he doesn't simply stop opponent from attacking.

Spamton lacks a SOUL, so that severely limits Papyrus' options. That coupled with Spamton's far superior durability (Frisk at this point can harm Robot 98 in his Combat Form, who even in his base form, had defense value of 98. Yet, this same Frisk can't even damage Spamton) and AP (Spamton's around Robot XP's level of power, who even in his base form had a an attack value of 40. Papyrus in comparison only has 20 ATK and DEF) means Papyrus's chances of winning a basic fight are null

In terms of abilities, Papyrus' Toon Force lets him "walk on air" and he has used it before to avoid getting caught in Muffet's Web, however Spamton's range renders it null. His powernull seems to be somewhat limited, as he didn't use it to stop Undyne or Flowey from attacking, only ever using it on Frisk if they're about to kill someone. His hacking probably isn't good enough to work on Spamton (Its feats are recalibrating a puzzle he made and taking down Undyne's forcefield, no clue if that's enough). Gaster Blasters are "ARE METAPHORICALLY COOL AND LITERALLY QUITE HOT" but probably not hot enough to affect Spamton, who's unaffected by Hotland's high temperatures and should be similar to Robot 98 who could take Frisk's Solar Flare, which is as hot as the sun's rays

Concocterest has variety of random effects. These range from status buffs and debuffs (To speed, attack and defense, INV frames) to changing enemy attack colors (Turning them Blue harmless to those who stand still, turning them Orange makes them harmless to those who move, and turning them Green makes them heal whoever they hit), grant the user regen, cast poison, buff or decrease enemy attack/accuracy/def….
If Papyrus gets lucky he could potentually get strong enough to harm Spamton (Or weaken Spamton's def enough to harm him), but it's too much of a wildcard to be a reliable win-con

Now in terms of gadgets, his Hover Board gives better maneuverability in the air than his Toon Force's air walk, but still doesn't solve the range problem, D.A.T.E. lets Papyrus measure dating power, choices designed for maximum romance, and an advice button, which is useless here. Papyrus's Shrink Ray might be useful depending on how small Spamton becomes? Papyrus' "fancy science ray" can enlarge rooms and make Papyrus a titan, but that would only make him a bigger target. Orange Mode helps Papyrus evade attacks but still doesn't help him in actually damaging Spamton.

Papyrus has a bunch of other gadgets, like B.A.R.E.L. or his Coolness Ray, but they still don't help Papyrus circumvent Spamton being a Tank
Except for two, Papyrus' Zero-Gravity Gun will make Spamton weightless and as a result, incapable of reaching Papyrus, which I think counts as Incap?
Papyrus also has his Magnetic Pincher which "HAS A GREAT REACH, A MAGNETIC FIELD, AND A MIGHTY GRIP!!!" which is another way Papyrus could incap Spamton, although, it being stationary could be a problem

Another thing that should be noted is, Papyrus probably wouldn't even attempt to fight Spamton directly, not only because he made Spamton's body and as a result should know just how outmatched he is, but because Papyrus is too nice to actually hurt someone in a serious way. The only times he actually attempted to injure anyone as far as I recall, were Jerry in the playable version of Battle of the Ages (Because it's Jerry) and Flowey when he was seconds away from murdering Frisk. In fact, if you try to FIGHT in Battle of the Ages, a FIGHTING TOURNAMENT, Papyrus highly discourages it;

And that coupled with Papyrus being one of the only people Spamton legitimately cares about, means it's highly probable that Papyrus could simply talk Spamton down, which I think counts as an Incon?

Paparuys only really goes fighting against someone willing to fight and won't listen to reason (Flowey) or if it's a gag thing (Jerry)

Though I don't think this means Paparyus is a pacifist ... these are people he knows so it would play differently for others in this tournament
