Izuku Midoriya (My Hero Academia) vs. Guardian Ape (Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice).

Base Ape is used, Headless Ape is allowed.

Joint Training Arc Deku is used, anything greater than 20% is restricted.

Fight takes place in the Sunken Valley Passage (The place where you fight the ape in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice).

Win by KO, death, or incap. However, if Deku kills the ape, he then has to deal with the Headless Ape.

Speed Equalized

Who wins?

Deku: 10

Guardian Ape: 0

Inconclusive: 0

Deku can probably take this one fairly simply. If this is the 8-B Ape, the AP difference is only about 2x in the apes favor, which means Deku can still hurt it at 8% without needing 20% for a while. He’s way smarter, more agile and actually has more options than the Ape does, especially when it comes to close combat since the Ape just kinda flails like you would expect an animal to.

Air Force gloves will be good for potshots at best, and he doesn’t have enough control or Lifting Strength with Black Whip to use it for more than pulling himself to the Ape for a kick or punch, but it will help him stay off the ground.

Way it seems, Deku could easily read the Ape’s moves and just beat the heck out of it while dodging its poop throw and flatulence. Might take a while due to the Ape having higher durability, but he can wear it down.

Worst comes to worst, he uses 20% and now is over 3x the Ape in AP.

I’d actually recommend allowing the Ape to resurrect, as the fight dynamic would change drastically for both sides, though I’d still say Deku would win with 20%.

If Sekiro gets a CRT for manga lore, then Guardian Ape would win, as the centipedes also give regen and Type 3 Immortality.

But for now, can Deku destroy the Guardian Ape's body without exhausting himself?

He can, as the key he’s using for this fight doesn’t break his bones. 20% would cause him to become exhausted pretty quick, but it wouldn’t matter since he’d be 3x stronger than the ape.

All Deku needs to do is figure out the centipede exists and rip it out of the Ape. He’ll notice eventually that something is up with the Ape.

Not like the Ape can stop him from doing so.

Rip the centipede out to incapacitate it. Deku will inevitably realize something is piloting it’s body when its head comes off.

He could literally take the sword away from the Ape and cut it in half, see the centipede and remove it. Not like the Ape can do anything to stop him.

First of all, you can't kill the centipede without the Mortal Blade. Second of all, good luck trying to get anywhere near the ape when it has omnidirectional fear hax.

I said incapacitate not kill. Wolf beat the Ape without the mortal blade by just harming the centipede enough it dipped out, Deku can do the same.

The fear hax that requires its head? Which Deku can easily kick out of its hand? And will be the first thing he goes for after seeing the Ape get back up?

Except that this is base ape. Unless Deku actually uses the sword to decapitate the ape, he will have his head on when he dies.

Why would Deku not take the Ape’s head off by tugging on the sword? It’s a clear weakness he can exploit, and would tip him off that the Ape already isn’t quite alive.

Deku would believe the Ape is a Nomu and try to kill/contain it. When he sees it isn’t dying to his normal punches at 8%, he will go for the head. When it gets back up, he’ll start looking for more lethal options.

Deku was more than willing to kick Overhaul’s head off, a seemingly undead Ape that might be a Nomu isn’t something he’s gonna play morality with

Let’s not forget the fact that he also built up a lot of speed and was using Iron soles when he was gonna kick overhaul that clearly would have killed him.
Deku isn’t above killing

Sekiro didn't kill the Guardian Ape the first time. We see it later with its mate. The Guardian Ape only fully died when Sekiro used the Mortal Blade on the centipede.
