100% agree.
DMC got immeasurable speed through translated guidebook statements for Argosax and if using the same logic that would be considered an outlier too because obviously linear time is still a thing everyone in the plot has to adhere to in all the games.
DBS has more explicit evidence...
Nah, that's not it. It wasn't the raising Kratos documentary and it wasn't a statement by Matt Sophos (who is the lead writer).
It was Jason McDonald, the og Lead Combat Designer who explicitly called Kratos a genius and it was during a panel with other Santa Monica devs onstage too. I believe...
In a panel with the other team members, one of the long time developers Jason McDonald literally used the word genius to describe Kratos for solving the puzzles that he does. Especially considering that Kratos would not have the pulled back camera vantage point that us the players would...
What exactly does 'qualitative superiority' mean and how does it relate to tier 1 qualifications?
Genuine question, the board's standards have changed a lot over just a few years.
Has anyone played Sword and Fairy: Together Forever on ps4 or ps5? (Might be on PC too).
That's a xianxia game. And a good one. Graphics are pretty and it's a good action rpg gameplay wise.
Regarding the speed, didn't we used to have a rating called irrelevant that was a tier above immeasurable? Did that type of description get erased? Iirc it was something that outversal level characters got, but I know the wiki has gone thru tons of revisions.
I bring it up because I feel like...
Woah why are POC justifications being removed? What did I miss?
But yes I agree with pointing out that Dante was dodging omnipresent attacks from Void Mundus. I made my own scaling doc for myself that made the same argument.
We don't even know if there IS a Persian pantheon in the GoWverse. The Greek pantheon's borders extended to a much wider geographic range than the Norse one does.
Ascension multiplayer showed us that even people from North Africa can be under Greek domain.(you can choose the appearance/skin...
Regarding PSI vs Lbs of force.
They were commonly used interchangeably in layman's usage.
I remember crocodile bite forces always used to be stated to be "over 3000 pounds per square inch!" in countless nature docs until eventually a scientist or two started making the correction that its...
Hard to imagine Freya as Kratos' true equal when she wouldn't have been able to beat Heimdall. She and Mimir seemed to have no idea how to beat him prior to meeting him.
And when she did, she literally couldn't touch him with her arrows. Like, he was gonna kill her and Freyr if not for Kratos...
Gaia at her biggest showing would still dwarf Ares at his biggest showing.
She was shown so big in one of the GoW2 cutscenes regarding Zeus, upbringing that an entire island with a decent sized mountain on it was little more than a bump on the back of her shoulder.
I am well aware. I am the one that put that weapon scan up on the net to begin with when I was playing Ascension and taking screenshots years back.
And that has nothing to do with Cronos.
It was Hyperion's spear and we don't know how or if it was ever put to use against Uranus. The move name...
There is a weapon called the cronos blade but we don't know if he ever actually wielded it. Since it says Cronos' chains were used in its construction.
Meaning he was already serving his sentence of holding up the temple while it was made.
No, you misunderstand me.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1130973/
It was a one episode mini-series/short documentary style promotional video for GoW2 that came out before the game did.
It may have been included on the disc too, but I watched it back in 2007 shortly before God of War 2 came...
Cronos was not given a special weapon to overthrow Uranos in the series.
That documentary you linked had mythology experts mixed in with GoW devs.
Dan Prather was a mythology expert and talking in terms of the myth.
I have Xenoblade 3 but haven't started it yet.
Nor have I started Kirby and the forgotten land yet.
Can't wait to start those two either. 2022 was a strong year for games.
Yes but in game he didn't bleed in the scene where she grabbed him and took him through the mirror back in time to the Ares fight either.
Not to mention that she was flying through the air with him so it wouldn't have been to his advantage to try to break her grip at the moment when he...
Yes he did.
I'm talking about the scene where she grabbed him from behind while he was fighting Lahkesis. He got out of the way in time for her to stab Atropos in the head with her scythe instead of skewering him.
I know what the novel says but the novel contradicts the game's scene in which he got out of her grip very easily, with no apparent struggle or pain.
So that naturally takes precedence.
Going back to the silly 'piercing durability' trope that seems to negatively affect nearly everyone in fiction besides Superman and other similar flying brick type template characters, I got to say Kratos actually has a plethora of good feats against 'piercing attacks', and they often are subtle...
