One side note about the Melee Counter that should be added to Samus' profile is that the Melee Counter can be used in Morph Ball and during a Slide. I'm sure plenty of people don't know that since I didn't know about until I was told about it. Might also want to add that it can be used in mid...
After double checking stuff about the Darkburst I also looked at the Sonic Boom and the only thing the description says about it is that "it projects a wave of sonic force." That is super vague. Wikitroid describes it as causing a ripple through reality which wouldn't surprise me but that's not...
Just going off of raw stats Samus doesn't really have a chance, X just needs to fight normally and he'll win. The Plasma/Wave Beam can ignore X's durability but the Metroid Drain is the only thing Samus can use that might do something substantial as unlikely as it might be for Samus to use this...
Since they weren't answered the first time around I'll repost/reiterate these two questions:
"Question for Samus vs Mega Man X (this could apply to other match ups as well). Samus' Metroid drain not only drained the last EMMI but also the Central Unit that was in a completely different room. If...
I figured it was something like this but I figured I'd ask regardless. The only guide I know of is the official player's guide but who knows if that would have any impact on the lore (The link of the guide on Amazon isn't loading in the preview for whatever reason so settle for an image off of...
Here's a question, is the Darkburst a Black Hole of some sort? I don't remember if this was ever clarified anywhere so I'm asking. I'm assuming no since nothing directly states that it is, but I'm asking for thoughts on the matter since so many people talk a out the Darkburst in VS and are like...
The throwing of the gear is still a feat involving Samus using just her left arm and didn't seem to put much effort into it. At the very least it's another strength feat with a calc behind it.
You know how in Metroid Prime 3 Samus was able to lift a giant gear off the ground with the Grapple Beam? There was a calc of this feat on Space Battles and a few other physical feats for Samus. You can find those calcs here...
I'd assume it would have regen of some kind purely for the fact that it has Phazon and is directly connected to Phaaze. However since 313's destruction killed Dark Samus for good and caused Phaaze to go critical I'd have to lean toward being like Samus and the bounty hunters, or 313 couild be...
I realize that if the planet Samus goes to in Prime 4 used to have Phazon on it, then time traveling could be a way for Phazon to be a thing during Prime 4 only, and then by the end all of Phazon will for sure be gone in case anyone in the real world was thinking otherwise (even if it's limited...
Time travel is a staple of sci fi in general and several other Nintendo series have done it so for Metroid I figure it's only a matter of time. I just hope they don't mess it up since time travel can get very convoluted. Time manipulation is already in the series with the Phase Drift, so.
You reminded me of an article from 2015 where Tanabe mulled over having Prime 4 being on a single planet with a time-shifting mechanic: https://www.eurogamer.net/next-proper-metroid-prime-would-likely-now-be-on-nx
Granted this was years ago so who knows if any of this will end up in the final game.
Releasing Prime 2 & 3 on Switch seems obvious, they're apart of the acclaimed Metroid Prime Trilogy and Prime Remastered 100% ending is a cliffhanger. I hope Prime 2 & 3 get the remastered treatment, they're both worthy of it and I'd love to see things like Quadraxis, the Light Suit and Phaaze...
Here's an interesting topic I found:
Note that Megaman is "limited" to his equipment in Megaman 1-3 (he'd still get a bunch of stuff like Time Stopper).
After completing Metroid Prime Remastered with 100% items and scans the only notable lore change I've noticed is that the log entry for regular Metroids was changed from this:
"Morphology: Metroid
Energy-based parasitic predator.
The dominant species of planet SR388, Metroids can suck the life...
As far as why Nova and Samus would fight I had an idea that could be cool. Nova is trying to assassinate a VIP that Samus was hired to guard. The initial assassination attempt would fail due to Samus' stats/precognition, and from then on the fight is about Nova trying to assassinate this guy and...
Looking around some Samus vs Nova Terra threads I found this quote about Prime Hunters: "For Psonic stuff IIRC there was a room in Metroid Prime Hunters that used mind control to prevent the use of weapons but Samus could use them fine. She definitely has some level of resistance." If this is...
Since no one has answered my previous inquiries I guess I'll triple post. A Samus match up I've noticed that's been popping up more often lately is Samus vs Nova Terra from StarCraft. Any idea why this would be? As far as a fight goes Samus not only MASSIVELY out stats Nova but Samus' gear...
Sory for the double post but here's a potential good fight for Raven Beak and his opponent isn't TOO far away in stats (at least according to this website): Vilgax. I got the connections from a reddit post and there's a lot, they are as follows:
"Two galactic warlords who wanted to use alien...
Two points I remembered from Smash Bracket's Pit VS Samus episode that could be talking points, both of these being in the post analysis:
1) There was a point where Smash Bracket says that Samus is "a powerhouse with decent versatility." She primarily uses beams and Missiles to fight but she's...
Rewatched the Death Battle Cast about Carnage vs SA-X and something came to mind that wasn't really touched on or discussed at all. Would the Klyntar from Marvel be immune to the X? What would happen if these two parasites interacted. Considering how ridiculous Marvel comics are and that he...
When was there a statement of Pit being the strongest Nintendo character? Isn't that Kirby or would it be someone like Monado 3 Shulk or Ness since he can fight Giygas?
Here's Smash Bracket's Samus vs Pit:
At the time of posting the video is about to premiere so I don't know the outcome yet. There's a poll as to who the audience thinks will win and it's about 57% Pit 43% Samus last I checked so it's pretty close.
Here's an unexpected match up for Raven Beak I found from Google, Raven Beak vs Bradford Buzzard from the Ducktales reboot:
The connections are as follows:
Bird-like armored antagonists of two individual series whose first game was released on the NES in the late 1980’s (DuckTales in 1989...
For anyone who's heard of Smash Bracket on YouTube, a VS show that has a bracket set up for all the fighters in Smash to eventually see who's the strongest, here's a sneak peak for the upcoming fight between Samus and Pit for those interested:
The fact that Samus seems to start in her...
Either or, could be both. Samus is compared a lot to Master Chief and Doomslayer, and they share connections beyond wearing Power Armor and saving the day/world/universe. However Samus' abilities are very different from what Chief and Slayer use/get, which is where the connections to someone...
What are the characters that have the most connections to Samus? Also is there somewhere that lists all the characters with a fair amount of connections to Samus to facilitate a Vs Debate and what those connections are?
If Dark Samus was in a Death Battle it would be against Perfect Cell. Currently they aren't too far apart in stats, but if Cell ever gets brought back in Dragon Ball Super his power level would skyrocket so quickly the match up will be come a stomp overnight... as long as Perfect Cell and Cell...
During Death Battle's next fireside Chat stream this Tuesday 11/2/22 they'll have the Death Battle Champions pitch the match ups they want to see in Season 10. These Death Battle suggestions will be whittled down to a vote/poll in order to decide what one of the match ups in Season 10 of Death...
Here's a pretty lengthy (a little over an hour lengthy) but enjoyable video about Ridley vs Vilgax:
Don't remember if there were any real stats given but plenty of feats with proof were used for each. A few points for Ridley I don't agree with but overall I think it's pretty good.
Why question the 960g calcs when Samus can do stuff like this:
I'm guessing the people who don't want S&J to be canon is mostly because its title is silly, because it is. However, there's lots of badass/memorable moments from Samus (both action scenes and character moments) so I'd...
Reading through Alimbic lore on Wikitroid I didn't see any mention of planets blowing up. Closest I can figure would be that Alinos was once lush, but when the meteor containing Gorea crashed onto Alinos, it destroyed the planet's core and caused Alinos to become a giant volcano planet. Gorea is...
I see what you're going for, but wouldn't Dark Samus be able to have stuff from Phaaze attack you, like some of the giant Phazon tentacle in the background? As far as I can tell it's mostly to directly absorb energy from Phaaze like Dark Samus does during her boss fight. It's hard to say exactly...
Yes, Samus can locate and hit Chozo Ghosts with the X-Ray Visor, same for the Dark Commandos once Samus gets the Dark Visor. One thing to note though is that once Chozo Ghosts/Dark Commandos dash from one location to another you can't hurt them while they're dashing from what I remember, but...
I apologize for a lack of response, I don't get alerts on stuff on something like my phone if I'm pinged on the forum, not sure if there's a way to change that. Looking through previous posts I'm confused as to what exact images you're referring to, especially back in 2016. If it's involving the...
I don't remember if magic has been explicitly used in the series, unless you count whatever energy the Chozo Ghosts throw at Samus or the giant hand projections from Mogenar (Looking at Wikitroid it says that Mogenar could be one of the golems built by the Last Lord of Science and is a...
Being able to effect the Chozo Ghosts was an inherent property of the Power Beam since it isn't a natural energy source like fire, ice, and electricity. The Power Beam is still Samus' default weapon since the doors Samus opens in Dread are labeled as Power Beam Doors. The X being unaffected by...
In terms of aesthetic appearance, the SA-X having the Super Metroid Screw Attack could just be an aesthetic choice by the designers at the time considering the "Metroid Samus Returns" Screw Attack doesn't look like the Super Metroid/SA-X Screw Attack. I'd say this is significant since Super...
