I strongly agree with not scaling Daredevil to that explosion.

Writing aside, assuming full scaling to any explosion is dubious due to how explosions actually work.

I don’t mind Daredevil not scaling to that as he has a bunch of 9-A shit anyway, but he and many others from his Tier are far more consistent at 9-B than anything. You won’t see these characters busting massive walls anyway.

As for the 8-C characters, are there any calcs that need evaluation and feats that need to be calced?

Haw you checked the context? I mean I was waiting for you to say anything before recalcing it lmao

Ok the comic is Cable Vol 1 54 (altho a portion of the context is in the prior issue

Not much else, it's Cable's atmospheric re-entry that causes the crater, so it's likely 8-C either way.

I guess you can say the crater size is inconsistent? But also an important note: Cable barely survives this, he's straight up out cold and recovers after a long period. I'm gonna be honest, I have never seen a single 8-C ever substantially harm Cable from raw physicals.

Another issue is that that’s soil and not rock. The result is extremely lower than the current one anyway.

Indeed it’s soil. I can recalc that today.

It’s high 8-C according to vs calc

Honestly should Cable even scale to Cap n shit? I always thought the 90s tank type mfers were kinda treated closer to Spider-Man level or a league of their own rather than Wolverine level.

Like we're talking Warpath, Bishop and Beast here, and I think the only argument I can think of is Beast has antifeats (but that might be coz he has a jank file and lots of missing keys)

Anyways yeah we're not using it, it's a peak survival (note: not combat) feat for Cable who is already upscaling from the entire cast, and also single feat. Good to remember tho

Wonder why we didn't use re-entry speeds or normal ablation speeds, would've wielded similar-esque results. Assuming it truly is re-entry.

Also the full feat and issue number should be listed.
Iirc using re-entry gets like a lil above a ton, so not that big of a difference all things considered (barely 8-C thing puts character out of commission).

Using Cable's weight of 158.76 kg, he'd get High 8-C if we used 11 km/s re-entry speed.

I have no interest in the comic in question but if Cable is shown like “fine” during the re-entry it can probably be used.

We don’t see him while he’s falling, we only see him right before his ship explodes and after he hits the ground

I think we should go ahead and apply the rescaling, and if people wanna revise the tiering that can be done later in a more ordered fashion

Which other staff members with evaluation rights have commented here? 🙏
