One Piece General Discussion: Elbaph

I won't dispute whether or not that Sanji is already snarky as is, but I think many people have complained about the Simp-ji gag being done to death by now and would like something different for him.
That's mostly in the anime if anything. Sanji's gag is just as much as it was in the pre-timeskip.

Something weird I noticed is that Enel's lightning is accepted as vaporization here but only uses pulverization here.
Do you mean why its not used? Because it does have a vaporization end just not used I guess.

Also does this calc even include the volume of the sky clouds that would be vaporized as well? And the island size seems a bit too small too, just based on the time it took Luffy, who is a superhuman, to run around Jaya.

My main concern was why vaporization was not accepted for Raigo but was for Base Enel.

Its most likely because Raigo was evaluated years earlier than Enel's feat on the moon and modern evaluations accept vaporization.

More One Piece CRTs? Yay! Yippee! More revisions, hooray!

No.

It's cause base enel showed blatant hard to disagree with vaporization while raigo wasn't even a shown feat so we couldn't assume the highest interp
But the smaller Raigo showed vaporization, so why would the larger one not be the same? And they scale up from base Enel anyway, or do we know think that his Raigo's is actually << his base AP.

We could just have Raigo be a hypothetical feat, instead of gimping it so much. This seems less like a high vs low interpretation than a correct vs incorrect one. Or thats my opinion.

Maybe a new size considering Luffy ran around Jaya took a few hours. Just some ideas dont mind me 👀👀👀👀👀

Also even without modern interpretations, he did vaporize Angel island so Idk what's there to accept.

Didn't he use a Raigo to vaporize Angel Island? Or is that not accepted as vaporization?
Angel Island was a bunch of clouds, aka a bunch of water. Upper Yard was rock and dirt. vaporizing water <<<<< vaporizing dirt, so we can't prove something vaporizes every material if it's only shown to vaporize the easiest one

a lot of us agree. so with that note, just make a thread with it. but at the absolute minimum it's pulv, and that's the safest one to stick with

I dont know why we dont just use the Senri statement to get a minimum.

Ive read that big dawg KT does not like it and it is exactly the same as his own size calc except he assumes a lowball running speed for the Wanizame..........

And if its the case that its too large of distance for the arrows to travel.......thats the case for all Wano sizes unless its like 20kms across.....

All cause something is consistent doesn’t mean it’s right.
You're not exactly wrong, but looking for perfection is going to make everything too difficult.

If your prior calc and the Senri thing are already so close, and as far as I know Oda does use Senri to mean 4000km in other places, then I see no real issue in using it or even your one, and not wasting time on other methods that at the end of the day will still be approximations.

And regardless, all results will still be very large and have the same rebuttals as for the Wanizame calc with light and stuff or whatever the heck that thread concluded.

Yeah you will never catch us using a statement of saying "they can shoot arrows long distance" to translate to "they can shoot arrows 4000 kilometers away" just for a size calc all cause the size is consistent. It's blatantly wrong

Denying the 4000km figure isn't looking for perfection. That value is literally just incorrect in-context. It's a way to say "very long distances," not something to take literally and apply to calcs.

Well it can be long distances or it can be 4000km. Oda has already used it once to mean 4000km, so what is the thing that makes this specific instance so concretely inapplicable? Why does Viola's ability state the distance which is exactly what Im saying we should use here.

And since its being validated more or less by another method, shouldn't it be given a bit more credence, unless you have a new Wano Calc that makes it much much lower.

And what issues would even be solved by using a different method with just as large a size without the same exact problems that were argued in the prior thread? 10km Wano?

Hers is blatant because in other instances it doesn't say "1000ri" it blatantly says "4000km"

My wano size calc is currently accepted. It's Onigashima that we haven't quantified.

Wano is fine. Onigashima isn't. This won't fix Onigashima

My assumption was both use the same word to describe distance, and since one has a stated figure, no reason it cant be applicable to the second instance.

However, it your current calc is accepted then its fine. I thought none were accepted which is why I was frustrated. I'll just use your 6010 km figure then.

You can handle Onigashima big dawg. But the prior flower capital calc was also nuked at 400km, do we have anything for that 🙏🙏, I think thats still TBD right?

You gotta doublecheck

NEVERMIND apparently my calc isn't evaluated yet. Wasn't declined just wasn't accepted

I was watching this recently.

In a manga panel where there's like, 13 pills spilling out of Hody's hand, as he's using them to stay conscious despite Luffy's attacks. He's fervently eating them, hence the spillage & he's eating them by the handful.

The anime supports this, too.
So, in such a state, isn't it plausble Hody would be eating as many, if not more pills than he would be spilling?

I can imagine a topic like this has been gone over before, but I'm curious.
After all, 2 to the power of 13 is 8,192, which is a big multiplier, & it's quite likely he's eaten a lot more.

& Hody was able to match, if not threaten Neptune after just 1 pill, & Neptune's Ultramarine is a good feat, no?

Imma be honest I think we kinda ignore the pills for the most part besides the obscene downplayed version, because if we really started to look at it analytically, we’d have universal One Piece sooner rather than later (just by the sheer number of pills he would’ve realistically eaten).

My first ever calc in this community was calculating how many pills he swallowed.
There's 43 pills that he swallowed.
2^43 = 8.79609302e12.

This wiki would not accept some shit like that

Surely there's a reasonable number to use that's between 9 (current accepted amount) and 43?
Why is 9 the accepted amount anyway?
2^9 is 512.
& even base Luffy could floor Hody, right? Though Luffy did think Hody was notably strong at some point after Hody'd taken some pills, no?

Using 7 pills is already a >100 increase. To use 10 is a thousand. To use 14 is 16k. They aren't accepting multipliers like this, especially for One Piece
Luffy went from 17.25 Teratons in Snakeman to 188.362 Exatons in Boundman. That's a 10,919,536x increase but a pill that, explicitly told by the narrative, exponentially increases power is too much?

it's because the wiki needs to prove the multiplier of that caliber is consistent

we can't

Yeah, it does seem a bit dubious. Hody got slammed into a wall on Noah (By his Red Hawk, right?) after biting Luffy, yet then he pops a handfull of pills & gets wrecked.
Despite that, before that, in the fight on the ground, Luffy had thought Hody's strength was notable.

If the multiplier is true, how could Luffy think Hody's power was notable unless he was holding back like crazy (Against this dude he, Luffy, hates?), yet still be above him after the dude popped a dozen power doubling pills?

"Yeah, you're thousands of times weaker than me. Good job."

To be fair

Luffy was only surprised because of his stamina and endurance (not his strength, he casually blocks him a lot). He said he could've gotten a triple digit bounty on endurance alone. His teeth were the only thing that hurt him.

The biggest multiplier after he overdosed, he got one shot by gear 3rd

I don't believe that acknowledging an opponent's strength is the same as saying you're relative to them.

Luffy didn't go all out actually, are we forgetting that Luffy already has Gear 4 at this point in the story? If Luffy truly believed Gear 3rd wasn't enough to beat Hody he just would've used Gear 4.
