Silver fans when they think Silver is the strongest out of the rivals of Sonic/general cast
I agree imo. Also without the jobberforce and plot armour, Metal Sonic logically is this strongest rival of Sonic/general cast but most fans aren't ready to admit that.
The humour is a bit coarse but you get the point lol!

It's all good! And having a full time job is good, unless its pretty much tearing your soul in half to do it, which I hope isn't the case. That Tien edit will never not be funny.
Just wanted to touch base with you all. A full time job had certainly cut back my time on the wiki, but I'm still committed to being here. Working on projects are gonna be a lot slower though, including the dreaded Imgur thread.
Still, it's good to see you guys conversing and keeping the general mostly active. I hope you all are doing well in your lives too!
AnimationRewind may have had a hand in kickstarting the Silver glaze given he always painted him as the strongest in his Mario vs Sonic videos. But in general I think it extended beyond that even earlier with people constantly hyping up his time travel and psychokinesis as instant win cards.I saw this already and it's kinda what I was referring to. Silver being seen as the strongest is such an odd take that stems from nowhere. I don't really understand the sentiment. It's just glaze. Deserved? I'm not sure about that. I think not cuz it makes Silver fans look funny.
Also, I don't see Metal Sonic being the strongest. Neo Metal Sonic is the strongest (probably). Though, honestly, I don't really like Neo Metal Sonic. He's a bit overused imo. Overstayed his welcome and kind of steals the show away from the very real issue that is Metal Sonic's characterization, which he hardly gets. Neo Metal Sonic exposes the issue of Metal Sonic as a whole, but doesn't solve anything or work for a solution. All he does is copy everyone and, really, doesn't even succeed in base. He had aura, but that was it. Never fights in base in Heroes and needed a whole form just to beat Sonic, which didn't end up working.
Realistically, the only character that actually had something of note to say was Metal Overlord and that's a little messed up to say, too. As a whole, Neo Metal kind of flops. Hell, even after copying Sonic's powers in IDW, Sonic still contends with Neo and needed reinforcements and homefield advantage to give Sonic any real trouble.
All around, Neo Metal pulls a lot of Metal Sonic's weight and even then, it's all theoretical given what we see from Neo (which, in base, is hardly anything).
Thankfully it isn't! It's just very labor-heavy with constantly moving packages that can reach an excess of 300 pounds, so it leaves me tired at the end of my shifts and thus detracts from my wiki work. It's all good! And having a full time job is good, unless its pretty much tearing your soul in half to do it, which I hope isn't the case.
True! And yeah, life is good. It just feels like there's a pressure in my mind to get back to wiki stuff, I just don't have the proper adjustment in my schedule to figure out when that could be.I hope your life is going well too!! And I hope it improves too, more bank is always good.
He did have Silver beat Rosalina is one episode, but I thought that was a composite version? Then again, I couldn't care less for AnimationRewind, so...AnimationRewind may have had a hand in kickstarting the Silver glaze given he always painted him as the strongest in his Mario vs Sonic videos. Doors are the strongest beings in fiction.Badnik fans*
Both Tien & Badniks(Metal Sonic, Egg Cerberus etc...) have jobbed to door/wall-sama.
The Mario vs Sonic Total War ended in an initial stalemate between him and Rosalina, then he had Silver win the solo match on the basis of "Psychokinesis beats Telekinesis" I recall. I don't think it was composite to my recollection? He did have Silver beat Rosalina is one episode, but I thought that was a composite version? Yeah man, doors, staples, houses, and small punches solo fiction.Doors are the strongest beings in fiction.
I vaguely remember he mentioned stuff from the Archie comics for Silver in that second video. I think he claimed that the traitor within the Freedom Fighters was the Iblis Trigger? Or maybe he called the planet Mobius? TBH, it was so long ago when I saw that episode I can't remember for certain. The Mario vs Sonic Total War ended in an initial stalemate between him and Rosalina, then he had Silver win the solo match on the basis of "Psychokinesis beats Telekinesis" I recall. I don't agree because it isn't really based on anything. He gets power crept in his own debut game in his first fight. He gets beaten in his second fight, albeit stalemating. He's around the same level as Sonic and Shadow in the Rivals games, and anywhere else he's either hardly used or getting jobberized. It isn't looking good for Silver, I'll be real. I like him, but I'm not going to glaze him.I agree with Silver being the strongest base character ( when he isn't written to be weaker for plot reasons ), but I don't think of him as a Sonic rival. He's just One Of The Characters.
Sonic outright beats him in Generations. That's fair. Anyone not named Sonic or Shadow also either don't get used or get fodderized though, I think.
I think most characters don't have a counter to Silver's TK with their own abilities, which is why I think he's the strongest base character. Shadow needs an Emerald to manipulate time to defeat Silver, from what we see in 06.
And Metal Sonic repeatedly gets jumped in IDW and has never lost a fair 1v1 iirc.Sonic outright beats him in Generations.
Nope, actually. Shadow can no-sell Silver's TK with Chaos Boost and Shadow's equal to Sonic in Gens era, so he should equally resist Silver's TK.That's fair. Anyone not named Sonic or Shadow also either don't get used or get fodderized though, I think.

Neo Metal Sonic got jumped and frame-one of seeing both Sonic and Knuckles, he turned Super (before getting his Super form turned off by Shadow). Then he transforms again. In the first fight against Sonic, Neo needed to jump Sonic technically with homefield and badniks, so he technically broke the 1v1 first. But the time with Surge and Kit was nuts LMAO. I feel you on that one.And Metal Sonic repeatedly gets jumped in IDW and has never lost a fair 1v1 iirc.
I don't remember this, though this is the same people who thought Sasuke vs Shadow was a fair match-up LMAO.AnimationRewind may have had a hand in kickstarting the Silver glaze given he always painted him as the strongest in his Mario vs Sonic videos. case-by-case, it seems to me. The standards would be to assume 2-C unless there's proof they should go higherSeriously, WTF are our standards on deciding wether the Chaos Emeralds are being used at 2-C or 1-C?
Emotions not involved: Final Weapon (2-C), Klepto Mobile & Phantom King (2-C), Black Dragon (2-C), Finalhazard (2-C), Super Egg Robot (2-C), True Area 53 Boss (2-C), Devil Doom (2-C), Ultimate Gemerl (2-C), Nega Mother Wisp (2-C)
Emotions are involved: Perfect Chaos (2-C), Metal Overlord (1-C), Solaris (1-C), Egg Salamander (2-C), Egg Wizard (1-C), Time Eater (1-C), Light-Man Eggman (1-C)
bringing this back rq sorry!!!Also the "with time and space twisting and churning" reminded me something I was gonna ask, could the "but the more your monster tears through the timeline, the more damage you do to it!" refer to Eggman's rewriting and reshaping of the past rather than just the destruction?
There are a multitude of statements going off of how the full, true and real power of the Chaos Emeralds are being used in the fight against Perfect Chaos and we still rate that 2-C.... What does case-by-case even mean if we are not being consistent? We should not be going by vibes.case-by-case, it seems to me. tbf the "real" power of the emeralds could refer to accessing the Super transformation in the first placeThere are a multitude of statements going off of how the full, true and real power of the Chaos Emeralds are being used in the fight against Perfect Chaos and we still rate that 2-C.... Because it's inconsistent with stuff that happens later, we dismiss it. And the character's only seem to become more proficient and get better feats with the Chaos Emeralds over time. Plus, "real power" is vague. There are a multitude of statements going off of how the full, true and real power of the Chaos Emeralds are being used in the fight against Perfect Chaos and we still rate that 2-C.... You're only taking the "real power" part and ignoring the ones where they say full power and true power. I do not see how you can twist full power to be vague.Because it's inconsistent with stuff that happens later, we dismiss it. Is Emotional Empowerment on top of Super Forms an aspect for the usage of the full power of the Chaos Emeralds or not???
???we getting H1B archie with this one!!!!!
Ain't Silver still basically in the same Sonic/Shadow ballpark due to statements and later showings? IDK if he still slightly downscales, however.Sonic outright beats him in Generations.
That sounds wrong for some reason, just can't put my finger on what it is yet...You ignored the rest of the comment addressing the point.

Out of any of Sonic's rivals, Shadow is the only one who has maintained the "don't f*ck with him" status. It's such respect that they had to resort to PIS in the Metal Virus arc. The writers outright said they thought he'd end up making the cast solve the conflict too easilyI saw this already and it's kinda what I was referring to. I feel like they could've wrote him out of the story in a better way imo. Feels disrespectful to the character in an era where we were already pretty down low with Shadow stuff. Either that or just have him be unable to be affected by the Virus but make a point that not everyone has his genes and you can just explain away that he's keeping back the horde the best he can and buying everyone time to find a solution.Out of any of Sonic's rivals, Shadow is the only one who has maintained the "don't f*ck with him" status. Incorrect, actually. Silver induces a TK wave to push Sonic away in the 2D section of the fight with the car platform attack, but Sonic is able to overpower the TK but boosting.Silver never tried to use his TK on Sonic in Gens, which I attribute more to him being nerfed for plot. When Silver uses it in 06, Sonic is affected.
