FWIW, I do remember seeing somebody claim that this year marks the anniversary of the Metarex arc of the anime (said person was hoping Sega would use that opportunity to add Cosmo to Sonic Racing Crossworlds), so maybe this is their way of acknowledging that? By treating the Super Emeralds as the literal Super Forms of the Chaos Emeralds, the multiplier gets VERY high. Especially since a DEPOWERED Super Emerald can activate a Super Form. Probably astronomically upscaling from 562.94995 Trillion x.
I think the main arguments people would have against Sonic now would be that infinite worlds aren't stated in the games, or argue that beings like Solaris and Time Eater aren't Multiversal threats
I mean I kinda don’t see anyway Time Eater can be argued as lower that Multi since Bad Future Stardust Speedway and Crisis City are in White Space, which are entirely different timelines
They could argue using Geralds explanation of why something like Crisis City is in White Space and apply that to Stardust Speedway, then say the Time Eater was only destroying one universe overtime. Of course I disagree with that, both for Gerald only guessing while not knowing about Time Eater, and Eggman wanting to erase his past defeats which include other dimensions such as Blaze's dimension

I thought about it, but warping into new dimensions could just as easily be referring to the special stage dimensions.

The time travel and warping into new dimensions aren’t used in the same sentence, they aren’t directly connected. And in general it doesn’t work out, the series is usually following the fixed timeline formula, where changes to the past affect the present, as opposed to spawning new timelines, with key exceptions like crisis city.
