Toji should only be Superhuman too. Subsonic speed people shouldn't be getting blitzed by Mach 3 characters while prepared from HUNDREDS OF METERS AWAY. That just ain't possible.

Damn. At this point why don’t we just do whatever Life (I think) said earlier and just do “Superhuman/(whatever the hell statements give us), likely/possibly (whatever calcs give us)” to just have both and avoid all the arguing constantly.

A cop out. I'd just prefer we ignore the stupid speed cap statements since the author clearly barely knows what he's talking about, but if we're not doing that, we may as well do the next best thing and nerf everyone to realistic levels that these speed caps entail. If people think it looks or seems stupid? Good, they can realize the speed caps makes no sense. But that doesn't mean we should try to find a middle ground. That's not what we do on the wiki. We go for accuracy, not what makes the most people happy.

I disagree with it too. But it's the natural conclusion to using the speed caps. I'm not going to NOT propose it just because it "doesn't feel right". If you think that's too extreme, idk what to tell you besides that's what the speed caps entail.

While I was considering the possibility of reconciling the statements to only apply to the Curseya fight / Base Naoya fight and earlier due to Kashimo's antics, I have come to realise that because of the sheer abundance of feats that just outright contradict Mach 3 (and Subsonic Naoya even more), including MAPPA even having this mf blitz LIGHT in this latest episode, I strongly agree that the statements should be discarded; it's getting into CW Flash levels of ridiculousness

I am in agreement with nuking the statements outside of like, travel speed (But I'd be fine with using a compromise of speed feats not being calcuable when people are moving at a stated speed MAYBE in the series during a feat)

Trust me, there are ALOT of reaction speed feats in the verse that allow inferior characters to react to far superior characters.
- Megumi reacting to Toji who was stated capable of handling "Mach 3" Naoya
- Toji reacting to lightning
- Maki reacting to lightning
- Hakari reacting to lightning
- Sukuna reacting to light THREE TIMES (the infamous one, the accepted one on here and again against Hana)
- Sukuna reacting to imaginary mass (yes I am a purple = tachyon goon)
After Choso uses FRSS, Naoya perception blitzes and statues him and ends up running past a rooftop light above him under a frozen frame. The frame is initially shown like this:
After Naoya runs past it, the frame looks like this
However, in normal physics involving photons and their patterns, the pattern fixes itself in nanoseconds even if you run past it as fast as you can because you're not faster than light, and as such, light will have time to look like normal. The pattern would thus look like the first frame even after he ran past it under that logic, yet the pattern looks completely different, showing that the photons hasnt had time to fix itself yet, lagging behind Naoya's presence. On top of that, it's seen as frozen

I swear hakari, when the lightning feat gets animated, could do 500 backflips backwards, go into a mcdonalds, eat a whole meal, do 500 frontflips forward to come back, and fully dodge the lightning when it's still frozen and people would still call out the mach 3 statement

I do agree with removing the awful statements cap but I do wanna point out:
Toji was only ever stated capable of handling the zenin clan before Naoya turned into a curse, he has no scaling to the "Mach 3" version of Naoya since even Maki who was equal to him could only fully dodge Curse Naoya with enhanced senses

Maki directly states that he could've handled Curseya with a panel showing him doing the "Mach 3" feat. And Maki should scale to that because her precog is in real time, so she still needs reaction/combat speed to fight back against it, this aint some spark thing that the verse has

Pretty sure if we use the standard for lightning height (2000 m) it’s only subsonic. If we use the panel yeah it’d probably be higher but there’s still a good amount of distance between them. Also do we count nue’s lightning as actual lightning?
