What Im trying to say really is, currently we have:
- School Arc Yuji < Kyoto/Beginning of Shibuya Yuji = Nanami
- Nanami = Kyoto/Beginning of Shibuya Yuji > Inexperienced Mahito
Nanami is 8-B+
Inexperienced Mahito is 8-B
When school arc Yuji (at least the one that fights Mahito) should actually be equal to his Kyoto/Beginning of Shibuya self and only scales comparable to Inexperienced Mahito. In-between the chapters of the mahito fight in the school and beginning of kyoto, yuji doesnt actually train and megumi, who admits he knows nothing about yuji has been doing after "dying", is confident that Yuji can handle/beat Todo in a physical fight despite Todo being grade 1 and as maki herself points out, megumi himself fought todo before so he knows todo's strength. (Gojo's statement doesnt contradict this at all btw since he hadnt seen Yuji in action since before the school arc)
So it should be more like:
School Arc = Kyoto Yuji = Nanami ~< (comparable yet still superior) Inexperienced Mahito
The Nanami solo fight supports this line of scaling + the fact that Nanami without overtime was already struggling with a holding back inexperienced, still experimenting, Mahito and Mahito's CE even when he still sucked at using it here was able to block Nanami's attacks other than ratio strikes due to its CT.
