DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

I don't get it, what makes it peak?
Because Jonnhy shooting a nail bull through himself to nullify Baruto's planet rotation ability, while thinking back to lesson 5, and then giving Baruto the spin he hit Johnny with + Jonnhy's own spin would be really cool.

Wouldn't Baruto resist anything Johnny throws at him? He is Naruto character afterall and they tend to have a truckload of haxes and resistances.

Unless he has specifically infinite rotational resistance, I doubt it. The earth’s rotation and orbit are specifically what make Boruto’s Rasengan special, it siphons energy from both, allowing for the opponent to be damage indefinitely. Like it's a wild ability cause it's using rotational energy from a planet which is seen as excitedly dangerous.
Johnny just has that but like to an infinite degree thanks to infinite rotation. And the only way to counter that is to use your own infinite rotation, which baruto's ability is way below.

Gotta need that sweet sweet crossover scaling from Marvel and Project X Zone.

So, i just rewatched Ash VS Yugi, to see if the episode was as good as i thought it was the first time i watched it and...... Yeah, it stands pretty solid

One thing i haven't noticed on my first watch and i also tried to perceive more carefully now is how DB powerscaled both characters, while i don't think they messed up the scaling on an OmniDock level, it still contains some weird decisions from the team:
  1. All of Ash's Pokémon were powerscaled to the same level of power, which is... kind of an at the very least questionable decision, unless you think it's valid to think End of Series Pikachu is as strong as the Butterfree he only had on Season One and never met again until the end of Journeys, where they reunited to celebrate Ash's feat of becoming a world champion.
  2. I found it weird when Solgaleo's Sunsteel Strike was determined as being only powerful enough to light up the universe, when that's only a feat at Solar System levels of power and a normal attack from Pikachu was scaled to Dialga's Roar of Time (Will comment on it below), which is obviously stronger than it. You can also interpret DB as mentioning the 4-B feat as a side-effect of Solgaleo's attack and not it's full potency, which is an agreedable interpretation.
Some people didn't understand if Death Battle ended scaling Ash to the Creation Trio: The answer is that they kind of did both.

They mentioned that Ash was far below the Creation Trio in power and even weaker than other legendaries like Mewtwo and Lugia, however, still explicitly said his Pikachu could briefly halt Dialga's Roar of Time, basically making his team (Which are all implied to be scaled to the same level of power) downscale to 1/3 of Dialga's Attack (While DB talked about some possible "favorable intepretations" for Ash, they didn't explained what those interpretations exactly were, which is why i ain't taking them into account).

With that said, and having in mind everything they said on the episode itself, here's the scaling for both Ash and Yugi taking in account their AP and Speed (Which are the only categories explicitly stated on the ep). I will write it as the indexing of a wiki profile.

Since DB doesn't considers 3-A and Low 2-C as different tiers, i will consider Dialga's statement as a 3-A feat that has a measurable value

Attack Potency: Varies (Yugi has an army of monsters, with their power levels varying between them); Moon level (Giant Soldier of Stone is strong enough to destroy moons. Even the weakest Duel Monsters can cause tsunamis, rain down meteors, and wreck cities) with low-tier Monsters, up to Universe level (By combining their attacks, the Magicians can defeat the ten-star gods, which are far stronger than mid-tier monsters, said monsters include Dark Hole Dragon, a sentient black hole, Planet Alignment, a spell capable of moving solar systems, and Elemental HERO Glow Neos, who destroyed a relativity field that spawned an entire universe) with mid-tier monsters, far higher with the Egyptian Gods, up to High Universe level (Obelisk strikes with a power of infinite) with Obelisk the Tormentor. Low Complex Multiverse level, possibly higher (Horakhty is the goddess that, with her light, created the infinite Yu-Gi-Oh! multiverse, including dimensionally transcendent places, such as the Afterlife and Prana Realm) with Horakhty, the Creator of Light

Speed: Relativistic+ (Yugi's monsters should be comparable, if not way faster than himself, who is fast enough to dodge lasers, and his friends, like Tristan, who dodged a laser beam)

Other Notable Feats:
  1. Dragon Master Knight created a blast that was visible from space

@WeeklyBattles something I’ve been thinking about, does Joey have the heart of the cards? I was wondering cause there’s one card that may help him in Ryuji vs Joey, let him win? Unlikely, but still interesting idea nonetheless

All duelists do, the effectiveness of it just varies depending on how much they actually believe in its existence and how strong their faith in their deck is

I'll ask it here too; is KratosAsura the worst fight animation of DB eps 100-199(MvS2 to HulkGodzilla)? Is there more competition than Jason vs Michael?
