Do novel continuations from a manga/anime series count or just purely Novel verses?

Also a question for everyone involved in fixing the current situation for tensura here, what are like the next plans for the verse? Any specific upgrades or downgrades planned in the near future?

Latter. For the second half of that there are plans to make a profile for god, adding abilities and scaling from volume 21, etc. Quite a bit tbh but need verified translations which takes awhile

What all would this be? Ik ppl say the LN better but I've never really looked too deep into how much the anime changed or left out

Upgrades CRTs are in place but just waiting for the damn translations 🥹

Though at this point think I should make a CRT to recreate WN Rimuru's profile and add all the accepted abilities from my WN revision series

WN version gets so rarely discussed given most haven't checked that (yes that includes me 😗). I doooooooo plan on getting into that continuity eventually though being real that'll be ages from now given I wanna (and still am) checking out all the LN content including the various manga. After that, imma take a break from LNs and get back into VNs.
For those unaware I'm mainly a VN person first.

Whew, ok where do I start with this...

So there were multiple content changes especially throughout the first season. Some of them were light, like the anime starting with the bus scene, while the novel started in the classroom.

But others, in fact multiple times with rather "heavy" changes. Be it that they cut the scene where Horikita talks to Chabashira about her placement in class d and the discussion that followed about superiority, all while Ayanokouji was next room, purposefully placed by Chabashira to listen in. Then they changed the "exposing" of his grades to Horikita from Chabashira to Horikita's older brother instead.

The pool episode from season 1 was actually from a .5 volume of season 2 and did not involve Horikita, but Karuizawa instead, with Ayanokouji thinking about using the material to perhaps expel a student or two.

The cutting of a lot of Karuizawa's scenes in season 1. The weird change of changing the class size from 40 to 25.

And a lot more from season 1 and also the later seasons.

But all of that isn't even the worst. The worst is also not the shocking reduction in production value each season.

No the worst is the absolute character assassination they put Ayanokouji through.

They cut his social awkwardness from the earlier volumes, they cut a lot of his monologues including important self reflection about himself. That his most important aspect is his curiosity.

They cut a lot of fluff moments with him, like him completely overdoing it with the sugar in his coffee(5 cubes or so), because he was curious how it would taste.

They made him into nothing more than a robot. Did you know that in the manga adaptation of year one they made him really expressive?
Constantly showing different faces and being almost a comedic relief. That's of course also the wrong way to show it all, but it shows the insane contrast in going on about the story.

In the community there is the joke that the manga shows how he thinks he is looking and behaving, the anime shows him in the way others perceive him and the light novel shows him in the way he is.

So this was a brief summary of what problems light novel readers have with the anime. Of course I could go on and on, but I think this paints a sufficient picture.

You jest, but there is a reason why Ayanokouji has the extraordinary genius rating on vsbw.

Predicting the future through pure calculations and outplaying a chess supercomputer tend to warrant these ratings.

He's of course not on the level of Great sage, let alone Raphael, but he's most definitely at the top of the anime 'geniuses'.

If you read it in book form it doesn't matter I'll try to look for it myself, but if not last question can you tell me where to start after season 1 of the anime ?

WN would be 1-C with 1-A smurf hax, with Prime Veldanava being 1-A
LN would be 1-A with High 1-A smurf hax, Prime Veldanava being High 1-A

That's just my opinion tho.
