Yes, Godzilla vs. Thor can be considered a sequel to GMK set in an alternate continuity, as it takes place twenty years after the events of the film and features the same incarnation of Godzilla, as confirmed by Jason Aaron

At this point Godzilla and Sonic isn't even close to being the least likely crossover considering both were in DC crossovers around the same time as each other so them meeting is far from impossible. Also when did GMK Goji get updated?
