Jujutsu Kaisen Discussion Page #1

Also I was looking at the piercing blood calc and was thinking the method used in the link seems a bit hard to follow

Is this calculator equally accurate? cause if so I'd rather use it

Edit: yeah seems pretty accurate

Do y'all think this looks good?
I dunno, the abilities are correct but some of the reasoning for stuff seems off

Even if the fuel does not detonate, victims are likely to inhale the burning fuel.
There isn't fuel in Fuga to inhale, iirc Fuga ignites physical debris from MS to use similar to fuel thus you cannot inhale it

Also a lot of the Dura Neg examples wouldn't work on people strong enough to take the attack, as all the links are about normal humans near thermobaric explosions, obviously it would deal way more damage to them

This is especially true because none of the dura neg things listed actually happened to the characters in this scene

cursed energy infused rubble would still be dangerous to inhale for normal people I feel, but that is mostly speculation. Stuff like the skin rupturing bit could probably be removed, but I think the fact it deals organ damage can stay.

Everyone got moved away or was in a (presumably) air tight shield.

I mean most of what you listed such as "burst eardrums, crushed inner ear organs, severe concussions, ruptured lungs and internal organs, possibly blindness, tissue deformation and in some cases disintegrates" just comes from explosion in general.

Like any explosion that's big (especially if it's big as Fuga) is gonna do that to a normal person in real life lol, it's not something really exclusive to Fuga.

The links explain a lot of the internal effects are unique to thermobaric explosions

Despite the link calling the kill mechanism "unique", rupturing lungs via pressure waves isn't unique to just thermobaric explosions; search up "blast lung injuries", getting severely burned by explosions is obviously not unique, and all the other stuff mentioned above is just your standard blast injury trauma.

The only thing unique is the type of fuel used but that doesn't really matter since Sukuna uses Cursed Energy combined with dust to form Fuga.

A uniquely high pressure wave which most explosions wouldn't have. Considering CE is a more effective and powerful source of energy than anything else it would make sense if Fuga had higher pressures still, and large pressure changes in short amounts of time affects your internal organs, especially observable by Thermobaric Bombs and implied by the description of Fuga, which highlights the vacuum effect that punctures lungs

Dude, of course big, powerful explosion is going to generate big, powerful pressure wave.

But acting like these injuries / effects are solely caused by thermobaric explosive is very misleading.

Not solely of course, but thermobaric bombs are uniquely good at causing damage like that. Besides that, quick pressure changes are often treated as a form of unconventional damage in fiction, even in JJK, which is described as part of why Fuga is so dangerous to begin with.

Question, if you have to allow characters to use their strongest moves in a fight, but both their strongest moves one shot the opponent, who wins?

I don't even know how grok messed that up

It even messed up other words unless Fanpare is correct and Fan Parade isnt

I dunno here's the full translation not done by Grok

Dagon joins the battle!
Commemorative illustration released

Today, new playable character "Dagon" joins Fan Parade!
To commemorate this, we're releasing a newly drawn illustration!

gonna start calling Dagon "Dogen" in every vs thread that hes in now lol

Dogen my beloved 🥀

Idk

I mean if there is no kenjaku w his gravity fuckery and tengen/yuki decided to not limit it

theres no Earth so Gojo will die in space
I meant more like could gojo escape the initial black hole cause if it pulls him faster than he can warp himself with limitless then he might be cooked either way

well limitless can just straight up teleport him, so he would be fine to get away from the black hole but Infinity wouldn't be what saves him

Now that I'm thinking about it we probably didn't even need the "Megumi's soul adapted to UV" statement to say that UV effects the soul, cause didn't it effect Mahito?

Quick question, If a character does a perception feat how would you right that on a verse page

like if it was 1 nanosecond would you right "- FTL - (1 Nanosecond)" or something? cause all the other feats would be in Mach or m/s and it would look weird

Perception feats normally are in the brackets of reaction speed

So for ex lets say we have a guy who has Hypersonic movement speed but has a relativistic-FTL perception speed. Then I'd be like

"Hypersonic Movement and Combat speed, FTL reaction speed" or something similar (look at JJBA character profiles for pt3-9 for ex)

There is also this wiki page

1) the todo thought feat just gives a timerframe through the statement so the hanami bud feat simply uses the standard speed format

2) It likely will be through something like

  • Gojo's Processing Speed - Sub-Relativistic (336 Nanoseconds)

Also, to go along with the reaction thing, if a character is stated to be able to perform 100 actions in a period of time than does that mean they would be able to perform 1 action in 100th the timeframe?

Example: Character dodges 100 projectiles in 10 milliseconds, would their reaction time be 0.1 milliseconds?

I am not sure on that part rn

it did, yes.
But, ATP, there was nothing besides our headcanon to say if it truly affected his soul (But we know now for sure it did)

Just wondering, how strong would a War Curse be

War obviously brings tons of negative emotions (Death, Famine, Disease ect. ) so it would be leagues above Korourushi (Small Town level and Supersonic+) but I'm wondering if it would reach the heights of Gojo/Sukuna or be lower or maybe even higher

It would probably have tons of abilities, likely using guns, explosives, gases ect. maybe the ability to make armies (?)

well its all dependent on the curse for stats but in cases like say Mahito

Curses that inhabit a big thing like war would have immense potential so unless it does get killed early on it could grow to the levels of Gojo and Sukuna

Additionally speaking of Sukuna would he have pressure points due to being able to knock hana unconscious when he was doing his gamble to switch vessels?

bout to be the new curse in the sequel series where CE isn't restricted to japan
(Also, it'd be very strong even off just japan's CE and, if it runs wild, Sukuna Gojo level. IMO, it'd at least start of Yuta level)
