DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

It wasn't too long ago Mr "hype and aura" Sung Jin-Woo caused some discourse here after the mass downvotes of (S2) Solo Levelling due to him shedding tears after healing his mother and us roasting the literal motherless behaviour.
Ugh, yeah, I remember. People complaining that Sung Jin-Woo crying of happiness over saving his friggin mom, which, AFAIK, was the reason he got into the whole mess to begin with, was hurting his "Aura of invencibility".

While I'm not a fan of power fantasies, I don't really hate them either, but it has become annoying these kind of fans that don't want creators to tell a story, just pander to whatever deranged wet dream they have and just complain at everything else.
Now the verse got yeeted off VSBW it seems.
Really? I had seen discussions about it being in the works and all. Maybe they realized the older profiles were too outdated and was better to begin from a scratch?
Poor Yuji tho, it's been a long time since I've seen a MC get overshadowed by multiple characters in their own verse and that's not even mention the trauma he got dragged through (Gege likely saw that "Nina moment" with the Elric brothers and decided to share some of that pain with his protag).
Well, IMO, that's not entirely a bad thing... But it's not really a favorable one in something like an action shonen where a straightforward narrative, where a good development and character is part of what moves the story. Thing is, Gege really reinforced the idea of how Gojo and Sukuna were the strongest, and also he kept giving Yuuta stuff to carry the good guys in one way or the other. What I mean is, JJK really feels it wanted to say "these guys are the best, the most awesome thing" and all that.

who would be a good opponent for Akechi from persona?

Guys, is Black Clover obscure? I would not mind it returning for a runback after Asta's terrible treatment,

At one point BC was the biggest of the new gen but JJK was literal lightning in a bottle, MHA kept up the consistent standard/content and KNY is pretty much the perfecto entry way anime/manga (also helps the main narratives of all three has concluded).

BC has fallen off quite a bit in terms of casual popularity with the final arc suffering pacing issues due to the author not being well and wanting to spend time with his family (I believe the illness affected several family members including the dog), the manga being released seasonally instead of weekly due to changing from Shonen Jump to Jump GIGA (it's been like that for a couple years now) and there are no plans for the anime to continue (the last episode was released in 2021) but there was a Netflix movie which was pretty successful iirc.

Tl;dr: BC isn't obscure just stuck in franchise limbo similar to HxH in the past.

Asta does deserve a runback (likely against Mash or Mel) plus a few BC characters do have somewhat popluar MUs Noelle Vs Rika or Juvia and Yami Vs pretty much any Shonen mentor.

Read the last few Miles comics since the Vibranium Suit was introduced. Apparently it was primarily made to help him regulate his venom powers since his vampire physiology made it too dangerous to use them normally. In exchange, it nerfs the power output of his venom a bit.
It's also a thinner material, so it doesn't scale directly to the Panther Habit. (T'Challa specifically warns Miles it protects against "MOST fatal injuries"). He was tossed around by the Vulture in the next issue and it definitely staggered him, and Ellie Camacho (Wade's daughter) later knocked him flat with one kick, which he described as feeling like he "was hit with a sledgehammer."

Not looking like the savior Miles needs here lol
Tuff, Miles gets turned into a vibranium bag of mush if he gets hit even once.

At the very most, Miles could scale with Spiderman who scales to this

If Deku's strongest feat is 40 petatons, how does he scale to ~12 exatons? QRD?
IIrc his biggest feat (a.k.a biggest feat in the verse) scales to base weakened allmight, who has that "beat this guy in 300 punches, but could beat him in 5 during my prime" wich is considered a 60x multiplier, who then scales back to final fight Deku who can further amp himself up to 5 times with Fa Jin.

Upscaling and multipliers.

Okay, I guess I just assumed Deku far surpassed weakened All Might by now, didn't know it took him that long to do so.
