Heaven's Dogma (RP Thread)

He then crushes the rectangular device in his hand, and suddenly, everything begins to shake. Not the floating city... but what was surrounding it. It went beyond just the structure— it was the centipede itself was beginning to rumble violently.
"It's no~~t our problem~~~! Tehee~"

"Oh...****. She's right, get'ta boat ready!" The woman called out. Deafly, she grabbed Gwen's arm, practically yanking the girl to her side as she began to run across the roof.

"'Appreciate'ta support doll. Let's split while we can."

"Ah, hold up. Lemme just..." Not Steve, whatever you fancied calling him, pulled something seemingly out of thin air. Some small, rectangular object. He looked down at it, and then smiled.

"Theeeeere we go! Was waiting on those messages. Now lemme see..." He continued "scrolling" through the rectangular object for a few moments, "Yep, I see. Well, if you say so."

He then crushes the rectangular device in his hand, and suddenly, everything begins to shake. Not the floating city... but what was surrounding it. It went beyond just the structure— it was the centipede itself was beginning to rumble violently.
"Why is it getting upset all of a sudden? What did you just do?", Taiga grabbed Ensepheros by the collar and asked in a menacing tone.

"The centipede is being manipulated somehow. He either doesn't care about his own life or this isn't a threat to him at all.", the Witness told his friend.
"I see. Watcher, gather up every Dogma user, this place won't properly hold under this for long, it's time we... Accelerated our departure, yes?" Arkhan said with a casual calmness of someone who'd probably seen three too many crisis, smoothly landing on her feet as if nothing was shaking at all, and with a strong arm she hoisted Aurum into her arms like she was a princess. This of course made the girl who's name was literally Gold Silver squeak in surprise
"Assuming no one has heard that loud speech earlier.", he replied while taking out a megaphone.

"Attention everyone. 'Tis Eye. Please stay calm. My group and Eye are trying to figure out what's going on. Anybody who can assist us may come to our current location. Panicking isn't going to help so don't do that.", the Watcher announced to the masses.
"I was meditating. What's the situation?"
"Did you not hear what this bastard said? He's trying to kill us all!", Taiga held the Imposter (Amogus) Steve up with one arm and yelled. The Witness, meanwhile, continued trying to read his mind to find out what his plan was.

The Watcher's announcement did very little to cause the ensuing panic of the masses. He was pushed to the side as people ran past him, desperately trying to gather their belongings, beginning to fight with one another over who could get to the nearest boat as the intensity of the centipede's grumbling continuously got worse. It didn't take long before waves of stomach acid of varying size were beginning to splash onto the entire structure.

"...This is getting us nowhere." Kurai sighs, shaking her head. Suddenly, she raised her fist, covered in a thick layer of rough bone, before punching a hole in the floor of the 2nd stratum. "I'm taking your boat. If you don't wanna die, feel free to join." Then, she jumps back down to the first floor as fast as possible, doing some minor acrobatic movements to break her fall as she books it for the edge of the 1st stratum, where the boats are kept.
"Why is it getting upset all of a sudden? What did you just do?", Taiga grabbed Ensepheros by the collar and asked in a menacing tone.
"Don't worry about that! All of it is her will, so it'll be fine. If she wants every last one to die, so shall it be done! Thus speaketh the Heavens! Hah! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Haaa..."

Suddenly, the man's face goes blank. Then, his body goes limp. His features seem to... dissolve, his face beginning to practically fall off. And beneath it is revealed Steve's face. The man groans, grumbles, and then blinks a few times. "Taiga...? Is that you? What the f*ck is going on?" Says Actually Steve, Ensepheros seemingly having left his body before the Watcher or Taiga could interrogate him.

"Feels like a lost cause...", he muttered before talking through the megaphone.

"Alright then. Ignore me like you always do, but Eye would advise you to evacuate as far into the small intestines as possible. Share your boats if you can since there should be more than enough space for everybody. We have gone through this before, haven't we?", the masked man tried to instruct the citizens.

"Yeah, it's about time for us to leave. The Daemon is going to empty its stomach contents by vomiting. That's why we must move further inside.", the Witness explained before looking down the pit Kurai had gone through.

"Another unnecessary thing you have done today. There are faster and safer ways to get down there, you know?", he shifted his gaze to Taiga.

"...Safer, probably. Faster, I doubt it." Says Kurai before she fully drops. Once she's near the edge of the entire structure, she grips onto the chain holding the Mandjet to the entire thing, pulling it back against the structure so it doesn't snap or get flung away, hardening and stiffening her bones/joints so it doesn't just tear off her arm from the force of the thrashing.

"P-Possession? What the hell?! The last thing I remember was going out to buy something for dinner and..." Actually Steve groans, clearly in distress, before slowly starting to assess the situation. He looks around, eyes wide.

"J-Jesus Christ. Everything's gone to shit!!"

"I'll be keeping the girl safe, Watcher! Nimah, follow his lead, he's competent and knows this place better than us!" Arkhan delivered swift orders, before calmly moving away with some speed

"You know him?!" Aurum asked the purple-eyes woman with an annoyed expression

"I was one of the few who knew of your existence before you woke up. So yes, I know him." Arkhan responded

(Kurai already left and she's holding the Mandjet in place so it doesn't fly away.)

"Yeah yea-ahh-AHHHHHH!" her jingle turned into terror as she was being brought along, looking at Nimah for a question during her confusion.

"S-Split?" she asked, "Whaddya mean???"

"Affirmative then." they nodded, their blade slowly sparking with friction as it's sheathed.

"Hey. Let's save the talk for later. We gotta go.", the Witness interrupted.

"Right. I would have made a shortcut if there wasn't one already.", the tiger nodded as he glanced down the hole Kurai had opened.

(Below is me trying to explain how they'll use their abilities to accomplish the simple task of getting down)
"Just watch.", the two men uttered simultaneously before the shorter one confidently stepped forward and let gravity do its work. Like Kurai, the Watcher also aimed for the boundary of the 1st stratum while keeping himself falling feet first. He probably could have gotten injured had he hit the ground at the speed he was going, but he suddenly vanished a second or two before that. In his place was now Taiga who had swapped their locations with a clap, allowing both to land softly.

The Witness then jumped again and his friend clapped, swapping the masked man with his suitcase which Taiga easily caught with his arms (the suitcase has a Dogma so it can be swapped but Taiga can only swap two things at a time hence they had to do this). He opened it and took out a bag containing many small round objects that resembled marbles before scattering them across the floor (guess what they are). Once ready, the Watcher notified the fleeing crowd on the 2nd stratum.

"Whoever wants to get to the docks right away, get over here."

(That seems like an infinitely more complex solution to getting down in favor of just jumping down and breaking your fall like Kurai did, but I think that may be the joke.)

(Yup, that's the point. They were just flexing for the first half. The "marbles" are necessary though since they're also getting other peeps who might not be able to do that down. Not everyone is a superhuman or an acrobat)

(I already did my thing. Others can decide whether or not they want their characters to follow Witness and Taiga)

(Yeah I'm basically waiting on anyone else. If nobody else has a response I can get to actually having them leave.)

Means we're gettin' the hell outta 'ere 'fore things get sour!" Nimah yelled. Unceremoniously, she pushed herself and Gwen down toward the first stratum, only glancing back to ensure the woman was following her.

"Get yer strings ready. Might need'ta steal a boat."

Gwen remained attached to Nimah with a small string. She wasn't letting go of it very easily. Because of it, she remained capable of following.

"It's always ready. Just say the word for it!"

"Well, good to know we still have a fast travel." Arkhan smiled and lept back, deftly landing near the marbles, still carrying Aurum who was looking very dizzy by this point.

"Hey! I was going to get you guys down here!", Taiga said but then just shrugged.

"Eh, no matter. I can still transport other folks.", he added. His hearing allowed him to detect whoever was above them on the 2nd stratum.

He began clapping, bringing people down to the harbor by swapping them with the marbles on the floor. Curiously, these denizens weren't Dogma users but they all had a large closed eye symbol on their back which disappeared after they were teleported.

People began funneling themselves onto whatever vessel they could get onto once transported by Watcher's ability. With a single leap, Kurai let go of the chain hooking the mandjet to the first stratum, and launched herself onto it.

"...Never driven a boat, but it's probably easy." She grumbled as she tried to shimmy through a crowd of people cramped on the boat, "...Don't blame me if I crash us all to our deaths, blame god."

"Oh no you don't. I'm the captain around these parts.", the Witness suddenly appeared behind her among the group of refugees. He had gone down after making sure to bring as many people as possible.

"Attention! The Mandjet is almost at its maximum capacity. We can only fit several more passengers and will be departing shortly. Please proceed to a different boat if you're unable to board this one.", the man with the megaphone declared as he attempted to start the engine.

Meanwhile, his friend was now the one gripping the chain that Kurai had released to prevent the watercraft from drifting away. Taiga seemed to be having an easier time at le-

"HURRY UP OR YOU'LL BE LEFT BEHIND!", the tiger screamed out. It took him more effort to do this than to pull an entire ship.

"We're over here." Arkhan casually said as she drifted up on a small boat "Only room for two bodies, so the rest of you don't get ideas. I'll stay close, but I don't want to risk this one on a potentially sinking ship--" "I'm not luggage!" Arkhan looked down at Aurum with a face that looked done, amused, and annoyed all at the same time before she gently set the woman down on a cushioned seat for her boat.

"What's cushioning this?" Aurum asked as she looked at the necromancer "Harvested vines." was the simple response, which seemed to calm Aurum down some.

"...Feel free to be the captain of whatever you want, but right now, I dont have time to humor you." Kurai said, groaning with a sneer as she watched Taiga hold the Mandjet in place.

"Just let it go, dude!! It's over!" Kurai shouted at the man as the second and third stratum's began to collapse. They weren't very structurally stable to begin with, held together by leftover scrap and whatever materials could be found. There was no way it was built to withstand the centipede going full postal...

...Whoever wasn't already on a boat or near one would either die, or have to find their own way to safety.

...Whoever wasn't already on a boat or near one would either die, or have to find their own way to safety.
Akarui had already used their speed to get to the boat thanks to the swaps and had managed to put themselves within the crowd. If their ears were the obvious, it could be their sign of standing out. But their height — not so much, maybe that's why they weren't at all visible...

Once he saw that no one else was going to climb on, Taiga dropped the chain and clapped. The Watcher had placed down a marble right next to him, allowing his friend to teleport onto the deck. The Mandjet finally began moving.

"We are now leaving. Please keep all hands and feet inside the ride. Do not lean over. We will not return for anyone else. We hope you enjoy this trip."

Whoever heard the message, it didn't matter. It was too little, too late.

"OH SH*T!!!" Kurai's shout was the first thing that alerted them. The structure was basically fully collapsed by this point, eclipsed by waves and waves of stomach acid that were stronger than anything they'd experienced before. Many ships were swallowed up before they even had a chance to react, their fates left a mystery.

Before the Watcher could fully begin piloting the Mandjet, it was flung through a cacophony of poisonous waves. One could call it luck that they weren't fully eclipsed, but many were injured from splashes of the acid onto the ship. The ship itself unharmed, the passengers fighting for their lives.

with a shield of bone deflecting the wave from hitting Arkhan's boat, she spoke in the stressful situation "And that is why you're not on that ship. Let them heal themselves--" "They're injured!" Aurum snapped, looking Arkhan in the eyes with a molten gold simmering in her own

"And they have Watcher, who is an incredibly competent field medic in his own right. I can't just bring you back, and you're the most important person here FOR your Dogma!" Arkhan said, sounding damn near desperate as she gripped both of Aurum's shoulders, who looked absolutely furious "Listen, if I get you close enough to that ship, will you be able to heal them?" "...Yes." Arkhan sighed and gently moved her own ship close enough for Aurum to make a bit of a healing rain to cover the ship and those who were close enoug to be injured

Nimah, who had smuggled herself onto the ship alongside Gwen mere moments before it had taken off, had practically forced herself into a tiny under-compartment within the ship's structure, her gangly legs bent with almost disturbing flexibility. Because of this, she had warded off the first waves that had rocketed the ships, though Gwen would have to provide her own protection, in that regard.

She felt the first drops of healing rain splash against her face, her brow furrowing in confusion as it dripped down her freckled cheek.

Guessin’ that's the one the others were talkin’ about. The girl.” Nimah thought.

Gwen was no pushover though. The strings she had allowed her to always remain close by to Nimah, irregardless of her location. As the waves would come and splash over her, a swift motion by using <Glynn> allowed her to store the waves of acids inside the strings themselves — no water ever came close to touching her body after that. That made her mouth form a glee, filled with confidence unfounded from her early on.

Rather than follow through Nimah, she ran forwards and spreads <Glynn> far and wide across many parts of the ship.

"Just watch me Nimah, you'll be knocked off your feet this time...!"

(Sorry. Was super busy lately)

The two men couldn't do much to prevent it. Taiga only had enough time to use the suitcase and his own body to shield the Witness from the acid.

"Bloody hell... Brother?"
"Eye am fine. You should be more concerned about the others."

Their voices could be heard through the chaos. The clothes seemed to have worked just as intended and protected them from the corrosive substance. However, the other survivors weren't so lucky.

The captain finally gained control and attempted to navigate the boat out of danger, doing his best to avoid the oncoming waves. His friend acted just as quickly and took out several bottles of clear liquid from their storage space.

"Hey, kid! Appreciate the help, but try not to overexert yourself like last time!", Taiga shouted to Aurum as he made his way through the deck.

He calmly opened each container and poured what was inside over the wounds of those still hurt. Their flesh burned both from the salt contents of the mysterious fluid and the acid, but the pain stopped after a bit. Their injuries were slowly mended until vanishing almost completely as if they hadn't even been harmed in the first place.
Rather than follow through Nimah, she ran forwards and spreads <Glynn> far and wide across many parts of the ship.

"Gwendolynn! We were starting to wonder if you and Nimah made it. Uh... What are you doing?", the tiger observed her action with both curiosity and caution.

"She's helping.", the Watcher simply told him. Taiga just nodded without question.

"Akarui. Can you take care of these waves too?", the masked man asked.

"I--" Aurum couldn't even throw a comeback out, largely because Taiga was right; She couldn't exactly keep this up forever AND be able to feed and water everyone. Thus, the healing rain stopped about a dozen seconds after it started.

"I'll try..." they nodded, stepping in front of the masked man and placing one hand on the guard of their blade.

Under normal circumstances, a blade does no good when slashing against water. No amount of bladework as a swordsman can ever pierce that barrier. But not for the Foxian, that is. The mere display of the sword isn't something as dull as a "swing", but rather the art of splitting something — anything — down into pieces.

Within one quick motion of their blade, the slash — the air, the waves themselves — were split and cut into two, parting the pour of acid as it sections away from the ship.

Akarui's expression of swordsmanship parted one wave of violent stomach acid—and another soon followed it. Part that one, and then another would take its place in the violent thrashing of the centipede's stomach. Clearly, just slicing through them would do little more than buy time.

But, even a couple of seconds provided by Akarui's efforts would be enough to at least allow a few boats to escape the violent waves. The mandjet, with its superior speed and craftsmanship, would be the first to dash forth from the waves. Some more ships would follow, some that were lucky enough to be just fast enough to at least keep up.

The others, however... they were swallowed up, their screams reverberating, and then silencing immediately... never to be seen in full again, consumed by the centipede. The waves gradually calmed down, not fully appeased, but enough so that those who had survived didn't have to worry about meeting death at every corner.

Rather than follow through Nimah, she ran forwards and spreads <Glynn> far and wide across many parts of the ship.

"Just watch me Nimah, you'll be knocked off your feet this time...!"
Nimah slowly contorted her body, a mess of pale, shambling limbs pushing themselves out from a space far too small for any normal person to fit in.

“Ya got some real moves, Gwenny. Woulda been’a goner if any o’ that had seeped in…” Nimah said. She cracked her neck, taking a quick glance around.

“We lose anyone important?”

"No." Kurai grunted, a shield of bone she had made around herself to defend from any leftover waves slowly dropping itself.

"We should be... relatively in the clear."

(⸝⸝⸝>﹏<⸝⸝⸝)

"Hehe! Told ya you'd be impressed! Now I've got a lot of acid waves stocked up from all the waves coming through." Gwen replied, clapping her hands.

Any of the leftover waves that were split apart by Akarui or ones that had been blocked away or even puddles that are on the ship would slowly be absorbed into the strings that Gwen made.
