Frieza being born with unmatched power, so far ahead of the competition that he never even considered the need for improvement, is sorta central to his character?
Plus, the Saiyans were weak, and even if he feared their future potential, he still believed just wiping them all out (Can't have a Super Saiyan if there are no Saiyans) was easier and more effective than wasting his time training, something he outright considers a "lowly task."

Frieza was always lazy even in Z, given he just sat on his throne all day and made his minions do anything for him.

Buu hasn't been active for 5 millions years old, King Cold probably only knew of him through legends. Not that hunting Buu really gets Frieza anything in the first place?

Saiyans are the best thing at his disposal as long as he kept them loyal. Business wise it was a dumb decision but in Z it was understandable since he feared their potential
Considering the dude killed some of his best assets over a myth……..
Also I should rephrase. Frieza not training isn’t the plothole. It’s his potential that is the plothole in case their any misunderstanding, had they introduced a time chamber or had the freeza force spy on goku and his friends similar to what they did in the superhero movie to create simulations then the jump in power would be much more belivable. Frieza’s potential would have allowed him to likely surpassed the Buu saga in just a measly month. Given it took Goku decades of training with some of the finest warriors to reach Buu’s level of power and frieza likely could have done it in a month

Buu and Beerus were specifically told to him by his father to never mess with, so Freeza maybe just trusts his father, plus... he really had no reason to try and get stronger than either of them anyway

Uub is the only one, Gohan's makes as much sense as Freeza's
plus... dude, Freeza having potential is not a plothole, show me anywhere in Z where Freeza even gave a slight hint that he trained or wanted to improve himself, he never showed any

As I say that I realise that fixes the plothole but makes the writing worse because rather than painting frieza as either a paranoid power hungry maniac or a lazy bum. He’s just a good dog following orders from the cat

I think Beerus just made a suggestion to Frieza, the Broly film still maintained the idea of Frieza being a crazy person who wanted to destroy Planet Vegeta, in addition to his fear of the super Saiyan legend

It was both a combination of Beerus doing the request for Frieza AND Frieza having his own reasons to accept Beerus' request

This is an amazing thread sharing a recent interview with Toriyama's three editors, it reveals stuff that was thought to be myths, shared more of Toriyama style of "doing things as he reached that point" and how the story was completely fluid by whatever Toriyama was thinking in any given week. It's a fun read.

It's an arc after Majin Buu, it's canon for the anime super and manga super, because it's Akira Toriyama's plot, there's still the fact that there's no adaptation for the manga ( the same thing happened with the Broly movie )

My dude, the Super anime is not canon, it is a continuation of DBKai, not of Akira's work(the DB manga), so of it is canon to the DB Manga, it can't canon to the DBS Anime without proof

I was thinking since yesterday, Trunks' timeline, the one where Goku died of a heart attack and all the other Z warriors, there was no one to stop Gomah from being the king of the demons and since Dabura ended up kicking the bucket for Trunks, so Gomah continued to enslave the demon race until his death ( since neither Goku or Vegeta was there )

Sometimes it seems like you don't know how to read Omega, I'm saying that Dragon Ball Daima is canon for super anime and super manga.
Sometimes just reading the comment one more time will help you a lot with these things.
