I'm like 90% sure those weapons are just Hax, magical hax which would explain Goku and co getting hurt, but we don't know for certain, that's the thing. And goku even having the need to turn Super saiyan to destroy this army is nonesensical either, in previous chapters he had no troubles one shoting them in base, but now he has trouble becouse they are "too much"...like, seriously, I love Daima but we can't defend everything.
