I disagree, but I think it's because his martial arts skills are reliant on statements and less on in battle choreography or style changing, mostly because Goku fights enemies who are either just as skilled (Roshi, Grandpa Gohan, Piccolo Jr., Vegeta, Cell, Black), or people so strong they can't ever be beaten by raw skill (Frieza, Vegeta, Buu, Jiren, Moro), and as such he doesn't seem as skilled as he actually IS. Kind of like lore scaling for video games. Visually it's punch very fast or flashy attacks, but contextually he's actually like, Batman-Lite in a world where being Batman-Lite isn't that impressive.

As long as your punch hit, technique don't matter, flashy technique create more waste movement. Iirc Whis in-verse did said something about the need to eliminate waste movement, and when Goki first turn UIS, many claimed his movements are more accurate
About battle cheography, it is depend on animators who animate the fight, there are some fight with detailed martial art movement cheography back in Z, especially the SSJ2 Goku vs SSJ2 Majin Vegeta, its majority was animated by Tadayoshi Yamamuro who created the famous "Z artsyle" that people nowadays keep mentioning about to shame on DBS, despite DBS was animated by the same guy and same team lol. Yamamuro background stated he learned martial arts at Shaolin Temple, which he incorporated into his animating style when he became animator. So it is mostly depend on if the animator who in charge of fighting scence have skill to incorporate martial art cheography in or not, like there is a Naruto animator who stated he like Wing Chun so many of his fighting scene in Naruto have characters using Wing Chun move. In DBZ Resurrection of F movie, the starting section of Whis training battle with Goku and Vegeta literally have Whis perform Wing Chun stance and perform Wing Chun move, i fact due to Toei decision of promoting Yamamuro into the film director position, many martial art moves was used in the movie, like the Bruce Lee's one inch punch which SSB Goku used on Golden Frieza
So overall i'm not keen on using purely visual to debate who is skilled in fighting technique or not because it is entirely depend on animators feel like they want to incorporate fighting moves into the scene or not as every anime always have team consist of many animators working on the anime, thus we always have a situation where in a scene a character demonstrate excellent moves then two or three scene later the same character perform amateurish, simplistic movements due to a different animator took over and is in charge of that specific scene

It's also just like...Anime. A good example is how Cell's "perfect" stance where he puts his two arms over each other is universally agreed by anyone who has ever been in a fight would be absolutely terrible, but in Dragon Ball is the culmination of decades of Supercomputer work and collective martial arts ability of Goku, Vegeta, King Cold, Frieza, and more. (With the Anime extending it to all the masters of the past AND Z-Fighters.) Ultra-super-duper. Looks excessively cool.
Absolutely awful in real life.
There's just this separation between reality and fiction people seem to forget.

Funny thing that's how it works in Raging Blast, Cell's skill makes him do that pose then you input an attack with different buttons to sucker punch your opponent.

It had some knowledge of other masters from OG DB time era but they are scrubs skill wise compared to those four so yeah basically four.
I like to think a little bit of Yamcha got put in Cell but it nerfed him

Nah, neither of those instances are about power rather than technique. Like flat out. Go read the first chapters of the DBS Manga and see Goku pulling some whirly bird ass martial arts move on Cell that has that man tweaking. Not saying power is irrelevant, but imo that fight was clearly framed as Goku just outfighting Cell rather easily.

This video aint good at all. 90% are trash but there are some decent videos. Its not their fault, since most break down videos in real combat spors are just as bad. There are only a few good guys, and from the few good guys only a handful can make a living of it.
Then you have no idea what you are watching, which isnt your fault since even in the striking/grappling section - most of them are just noobs.
Even throwing away statements like what he did against Caulifa and Kale, which means he fully understands what distance is and how to use it, he displayed martial art skills. Against Broly, he showed what kuzushi really means. Against Vegeta, he counter rolled into a sweet kick to nullify Vegetas attempt of an armbar. You can see how Goku sets up a trap for the explosive big right hand against Vegeta in their first fight. Him throwing straight punches which is the best weapon when it comes down to not losing the generated power or throwing jabs and not flashy hooks is a good sign, since jabs are the best weapons in combat sports and so good for setting up multipel things, doesnt mean hes a bad martial artist. He throws all kind of punches from the weirdest angles, but Goku gets laughed cuz of the straights and jabs which is just laughable.
Again: If you guys cant see even the basics of the basics, WATCH IT IN SLOW MOTION. Dragonball fights, just sticking to visuals, ARE ******* GOOD. You are confusing actual martial art skills with more spectacular and effective martial arts aka flashy things and hax.
If you still cant see it, watch some break down videos. Most of them are shit, but there are some okaish videos. Ive told a comic martial art nerd in my discord to watch Dragonball fights in slow motion, and even he realized that DBs fights are "peak"
Ignoring visuals and just sticking to the narrative: Goku is a ******* god traditional wise, great one under fictional rule set. With good supporting visuals. Asking for more or perfect one is just as brain dead as Multiversal Naruto.

Well for one thing they are not naturally born gods. As daima has showed us they are naturally born Majin and take on the role of a god, there Godhood is a job like every other godly position in the series, as far as we know the only creatures born divine are the angles (who occourding to the DBS manga happen to have ki harder to sense then god ki)
It is literally the only way for the events in the series to make sense, much like the concept of ki control.

The worst thing you could say about Goku is him not switching stances in a proper way with a lot of movement which is just a no brainer ... as long as it works ... it works. It becomes even more non senical with KI-control.
He already fights unorthodox so him doing that nonsense which doesnt really grant him any advantage be it hax wise/whatever .... is just dumb, lmao. Oh and Gokus "friendly sparring partner and everything is cool" - character which is the main reason why he falls for some feints but that flaw gets fixed with UI.

In context, Gravy's attack only destroyed part of the city they were in. There's a panel of Gravy following the attack and you can see multiple buildings behind him, so it didn't destroy the timeline.
