We have no reason to assume he knew the power of CSRC when a much more upgraded version of Genos couldn't fully detect the power of an attack nowhere near planet level.

Maybe if they're at least supported by more reliable evidence. But contradicted claims, and claims explicitly from mostly unreliable characters aren't really considered that much.We don't take databook statements as a likely/possible rating?
If we descended to the level of anarchy where the continent slice attack is stronger than a theoretically planet level CSRC, I would gouge my eyes out.Or Psykorochi > CSRC :smug:
Because destroying the planet's surface would still fall under Earth getting destroyedWe don't take databook statements as a likely/possible rating?
This too.Because destroying the planet's surface would still fall under Earth getting destroyed
Yeah, it also does not specify how much earth is getting destroyed. It might be all of it, might just be Jack sparrow's jar of dirt, idc.Because destroying the planet's surface would still fall under Earth getting destroyed

Just because we did it in the past doesn't make it right. That doesn't change anything.I mean this

why are we even thinking about it if the manga was clear about it being a surface destruction attack?
I just posted a translation.Yeah but I don't think this statement is viable at all since it's coming directly from Genos. We have no reason to assume he knew the power of CSRC when a much more upgraded version of Genos couldn't fully detect the power of an attack nowhere near planet level.
Not to mention, nothing suggests he was referring to CSRC directly in the first place, more likely just the fact that powerful aliens invaded Earth. Hell, he was most likely saying that off of the possibility that the prophecy was already upon them (but that Saitama stopped it).
I know, I was only replying to that because it was the actual statement itself. I wasn't speaking to anyone in this thread particularly, just the statement from Genos as a whole.I just posted a translation.
Yeah I agree, well I mean there are some narrative implications but could have just been referring to the profecy.I know, I was only replying to that because it was the actual statement itself. I wasn't speaking to anyone in this thread particularly, just the statement from Genos as a whole.
Through some extreme conditions that few authors would bother to imply, sure, but a lot of things are possible. We should try to scale to a depiction of a feat that's as accurate as possible and melting >>>reducing to ash under normal conditions.Incinerating the surface can be scaled much higher than MC tbh

someone already did when the chapter came out

Unlike the current ratings it would directly clash with the manga statement which is the primary canon if we were to assume it meant the complete destruction of the earth.I think a "possibly" is good for CSRC. Tbh, I don't know why this annoys mods so much, I know people are constantly trying to change its tier, but if there's enough evidence for it, I don't see any problem with going back and forth.
And with this, the debate would end forever and no one would try to change it anymore.
That's why we use "possibly" and not the rating directlyUnlike the current ratings it would directly clash with the manga statement which is the primary canon if we were to assume it meant the complete destruction of the earth.
Why? Because you don't like Boros being 5-B? What a good argument.No.
I'm implementing a Discussion Rule against 5-B CSRC whenever the CRT is inevitably made lol
That’s exactly the reason, yesWhy? Because you don't like Boros being 5-B? What a good argument.
It's because we've been planning a 4-C upgrade behind your back. Why? Because you don't like Boros being 5-B? What a good argument.

I thought you were against 4-C but fine with High 5-A? Regardless what tier, this CRT is gonna be a mind blowing one. I can hardly wait to see it.It's because we've been planning a 4-C upgrade behind your back.
Were you referring to Boros or Garou? I think I got a bit confused here. It's because we've been planning a 4-C upgrade behind your back.
Wait I'm legitimately confused. I thought we usually disregard feats/statements that contradict the primary canon. Possibly is used to indicate more questionable reasons such as ambiguous scaling or uncomfirmed feats like Saitama's relativistic rating. When have we ever used possibly in the way you're advocating? That's why we use "possibly" and not the rating directly
