Energy usually moves at lightspeed.
Most of the hypersonic calcs use some crazy assumptions anyways, there is a pretty consistent speed scaling chain that would put the more powerful cast members from relativstic to Sol.

The vector of energy determines the speed, not the transfer of thermal or kinetic energy onto the object.
A pole 200,000 miles long being pushed wouldn't be FTL, because the vector of what's pushing it determines the speed.
Generic fictional energy blasts have no set speed. Genos's hear cannons, Rover's energy blast, Homeless Emperor's or something and Boros' internal energy all have different speeds despite being composed of energy.
This would mean G4 Genos and anyone would scales to him would be within 10x of PS and AG. In fact it would mean Genos is faster than Flashy Flash and even Saitama's valced speed with Gery if I remember the calc correctly.

I don't see how early Genos level characters could ever approach Lightspeed when the strongest Dragons and God Tiers of the verse barely achieved such speed by their feats and calcs, it's clear that this level of movement is for very specific fighters for now

You, people, are saying that a lightspeed feat would put Genos too close to the likes of PS and Garou but don't forget that enraged Garou performed a subsonic feat despite narratively being laughably faster than the speed of sound already. So their FTL feat might very well be way higher from the perspective of Murata and One which means Genos wouldn't be close to them. Besides, dodging light can give results much lesser than SoL.

USK calced it before; AS was 79% and Genos was 29% SoL. In both cases Genos would be nearly a third of Boros' accepted speed, AS would be able to casually outpace Gery's rock and both are within a tenth of PS and AG's frat which occurred in 1.3 milliseconds where they traced a massive sky polygon.
As a note this isn't even current Genos, but G4 Genos. The one who was one shot by Goketsu, is weaker than the one that got stomped by EC and weaker than the one BS can slap around easily.
The speeds just do not work in regards to every else.

My headcanon for SC is that originally he was supposed to be Orochi's tail after Orochi defeated him or something in the past and Saitama simply defeated Orochi himself without destroying Orochi's core which was actually Sage Centipede trying to fully regenerate without Orochi siphoning off him. Some things support my shitty headcanon too. Back since Garou vs Orochi, you can see Orochi's tail looking exactly like a centipede, on the God mural Orochi also has a centipede for a tail, and Sage Centipede conveniently spawning on the alter where Orochi died. Orochi being able to use the "Gaia cannon" (Earth Cannon) which sounds like an attack that the apparent incarnation of Earth (Sage Centipede) would use is also something when EOW, the incarnation of the Ocean, has an attack called Ocean Grand Cannon.
But until the redraws, we have no clue what ONE or Murata truly had in store for Orochi and SC.

Speaking of speed why is PPP still HH after his entire maiko plasma and vacuuma encounter?
It lists exactly why he is that of lightning speed yet contradicts itself by putting HH speeds...
Pretty sure counters where he took this position during the barrage when fighting maiko plasma and the fish.
PPP blocks the attack and in this not so detailed PPP image he is jumping backwards since we see one of his legs and his arms are tucked in.
And before this attack made its way fully to PPP his arms are tucked in blocking, the panel before he was pointing at Vacuuma basically taunting him and in the panel linked vacuuma immediately follows up by answering his question with a question and attacking which proves Vacuuma was aiming for a rushed attack on PPP.

Another thing, I wonder if ONE and Murata are either implying that SC was the real being that was required to be sacrificed for God or Orochi and SC together was the sacrifice needed for God.

Props to murata and ONE, that was some good foreshadowing hints they threw. So for all the SC haters saying he was a last minute introduction to delay the final fight, its been planned since 2017.

I read the webcomic first so he wasn't a thing then and I saw the signs of SC existence way back even during the pre-redraw Phoenix man fight. Regardless, he's trash at the moment and his payoff is underwhelming when his existence will likely cause even more amazing webcomic content to be cut.

Let's not get it twisted and say that Orochi's tail looking like a centipede to foreshadow a centipede mattered much to this arc since if Orochi's tail was shaped in any other way it wouldn't have affected the god ritual, Orochi himself and everything revolving around him.
