They couldn’t react because it came from behind. They couldn’t defend because it was a surprise attack; they thought Flashy was done for, kneeling down and bleeding.

Atomic can react to FTL lasers.
Black Sperm can react to and tag Atomic.
Atomic is faster than HE, Golden Sperm can defend HE against Atomic, Black Sperm can tell Tatsumaki swapped out for a rock dummy while HE could not. Same with Bang.
Basically: Black Sperm lightspeed confirmed, Golden Sperm scales higher, and so does Tatsumaki. It’s consistent since Black Sperm can also tag Genos who should be faster than his previous self who can also react to and dodge lasers (apparently). Bang also scales for reasons.
This totally isn’t sarcasm or anything.

Where does that come from? Do you mean SoL lasers?
I don't remember BS reacting to Atomic Samurai's attack and combat speed. Most of time BS couldn't even see the sword
But that would only scale to Atomic Samurai's movement speed which is MHS

Has Homeless Emperor ever struggled with a move he couldn’t react to? The best I can think of is Atomic Samurai with a massive buff known as the Sun Blade… who could potentially be lightspeed in a casual state…

Yeah well these upgraded laser were shot out. They weren’t bending and chasing AS, a beam just shot out of G5 so he could run away.

Counterpoint: They didn’t bend because they didn’t have to bend. It’s not like Atomic dodged or anything.
There’s nothing substantial that proves these beams are a completely new technology with different mechanics. G5 is literally just a better version of G4. Same laser tech, just stronger (allegedly).

Atomic samurai FTL reactions makes perfect sense, no one has reacted to him when fully healed except when getting overwhelmed by billions/trillions of Black Sperm cells from all sides.
Same logic for pacifistas in One Piece, absolutely mid tier, like fodder speeds but great attack speed.

i don't think so, Calc group had problems with timeframe and suggested longer ones (2,3 seconds for Therefir 5,10 seconds for Jasonsith) then M3X and Therefir also had problems with it's calced length, since it would be enough to curl around the earth with how big it was and because the size seemed too small when compared to Garou.

Yes. But this does not mean they cannot bend, just that they didn’t have to in the 2 scenarios they were used in where the victim didn’t dodge.
Same robots from the same organisation with identical looking lasers. I’d say Err on the side of caution and have the lasers be the same rather than making a headcanon to buff speed.

The real headcanon is assuming that they have to be the same. G4 has bending lasers, which all in all, they’re light except for the bending part which is a factor of G4 controlling them. G5 just shoots beams, no control whatsoever he lets them do there own thing. You’re logic is G4=G5(even though the allegedly stronger G5 is a thing) even though G5 is a massive upgrade from G4 as seen in multiple occasions.
